Are we there yet? No...
Our bus ride took us past Oxford and through the Cotswolds...
We asked some monk bears if they could take us on a tour but monks don't give tours...
Although they do make mead... What the heck is mead??? ... "an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water"... !!!! I'm in!
The gift shop also had cute chess mice... wonder if they know Beanie?
Oh wow... this is the cloister walk... say... does this look familiar to anyone?
They filmed some bits of Harry Potter here!
Someone on our tour is beary happy...
There's an inner cloister through this door...
... which gives a different view of the tower.
There were cool stained glass windows as well...
The cloister walk smelled amazing... food smell amazing... let's follow our noses!
Ah hah!!! The Monk's Kitchen... are we eating here?? Huh? Are we?
Cause it looks seriously yummy and smells even better... not today? Sigh... where is my evaluation form?
Oh... and the gift shop had some cute cards... we think Beanie would like these!!
Mice-stro!! funny!
Right then... so the centre of Gloucester is built on an old Roman fortress - this is a beary old town!
We ate near here - the Cafe Rene... beary good!!! No photos cause... well... no photos!
There was an old church yard here... with a crypt... but it was closed.
So we just have tombstone pics!
That guy on the horse is some Roman general from way back when...
We tried opening a few gates but no luck... stuffies aren't really good at opening doors.
Where's Leo? Is that a lion? Looks like a lion... Leo ran off with Otto... goodness knows what they're getting into!
Another view of the cathedral...
And not quite a cable box but we though Beanie might like this graffiti on some hoardings...
We're pooped... off to our hotel...
The Monk's kitchen!!! Bet they have some great snacks. Did the gift shop sell any bear-sized Hogwart's brooms?
ReplyDeleteThey had beary yummy snacks. We didn't see any bear-sized brooms... and Rose didn't find them either... if anyone can find anything Hogwarts related... it's that kid!
DeleteWOw! I have never met Monk Bears before
ReplyDeleteUs neither... they were beary quiet...
DeleteToo bad none of the monk bears were in the tour guide mode
