Picnic at the Beach

Hullo... it was supposed to be nice today so I tagged along on a picnic to the beach... brrr!

It's not raining but it sure is windy!!

I spent most of the time hunkered underneath a wool blanket...

Until the food came out! What do we have here?

Hummous...

With veggie sticks...

Um? Anything else?

 What else is in here?

Seriously? A biohazard is in here?

I think I need to supervise picnic-packing more!

Oh wait... the biohazard bag only contains plastic cutlery and salt and pepper... whew.

Cause we have bean salad to eat...

Along with grapes and pineapple... Sigh... is there nothing for a little bear to eat?

Cause I'm a beary hungry little bear!

Oohhhh... cold smoked salmon!!!!

This is more like it... YUM!

And for dessert...

OMG... that cookie is practically bigger than me... (definitely wider)....

But I'm not a big fan of smarties in cookies...

Ohhhh... chocolate chip cookie!! Yummers...

Ya know... this was a good picnic... the blue sky even came out for a bit...

Ah... I'll just lie here and relax... **burp**... and digest lunch. Later!

Sherlock Sandy and the Third Clue from the Ministry of Puzzles

Hello... it is I, Sherlock Sandy, super sleuth... I received another piece of male the other week.

Once again, it is from the Ministry of Puzzles... mailed in the United States... hmmm...

And again... marked by the Bearhood of the Missing Pants...

Clue #3... a jigsaw puzzle?! I am great at jigsaw puzzles!

This should be a piece of cake...

oooohhh... this looks tricky...

Let's first lay out all the pieces... Normally I do the edge of a puzzle first but...

A lot of these pieces have straight edges!

I'll work on matching funny shapes... there we go...

And there's another piece....

Huh... this looks like a beary strange flag... definitely not from Cambodia or Norway (my last two clues).

Anyone else recognize this flag? Maybe it's from Vulcan or something?

Almost there!

Ah-hah... complete!

Now... how to figure out what country's flag??? In the olden days I would have consulted the encyclopedia but... today... we shall google it!

Let's see... that's a lot of flags... apparently there are 195 countries in the world!

Oooyyyyy... let's see... blue with triangle...

Oh!! I see it!! There on the bottom right... do you see it?

But that doesn't tell me what country it is... for that we need to search for country flag, blue with triangle... and.. .voila!

There's our flag... it is from St. Lucia!! The blue symbolizes the ocean and the sky, the white and black symbolize the two races that mingle harmoniously, the yellow symbolizes the sun (and prosperity) and the two triangles represent the two Pitons (mountain peaks) on the island (Gros Piton and Petit Piton)! Cool...

Mission accomplished!

Bearthday Mail!

Whoa... so there is a whole swack of cards and letters that have piled up while I was away in Mexico... First up, a card from Ajdin!

 He has such cool stickers...

Aww... thanks...

It's from Ajdin, Miss Feathers, Uncle Tibbs, Parker and Oooogie!

Thanks guys - I love getting mail.

Then we have another card... this one is from Droopy...

It's a paw-crafted card - he does pretty good... sometimes those stickers can stick to furry paws really bad...

It's from Droopy, Spunky, Patch and Angus... goodness!

Thanks very much dawgs! Oh... and I did get an e-card from Droopy too! Those dawgs are covering all their bases! It's cause Droopy's sekrebeary was moving and things were all higgle-dee-piggle-dee... looks like things got sorted out though.

And this one is from... can you gues??

It's from Jerry and Ben! See the fleur d'lis?

And the cupcake with a big munch taken out of it... by you know who... (no.... not Voldemort... Jerry!)

That's a pic of Ben and Jerry.. he's holding up his empty paw so I can see that the cupcake piece is gone!

Thanks guys! I had all sorts of treats down in Mexico... heh-heh...

A beary nice card...

With some cool stickers... Hmmm... I see a fudgsicle with a bite taken out of it too...

Oh... and a Starbucks gift card - my prize for scariest Halloween costume in their contest.

Thanks guys! And thanks for hosting the contest every year - it's always such fun coming up with costume ideas...

Oh, and then I received a bearthday card (ages ago) from Little Fox... he made sure his sekrebeary was on top of things! Do you see... It says "Best Fishes (I mean Wishes) on your Bearthday"... funny!

Thanks to everyone!
