An Up Close View of the Snowbirds!

Hullo!! So yes, we did come down to the harbour and watch the Snowbirds up close!

The weather is not bad...

Ooooh... there they are!

Er... that's a seagull?? Hello??

Interesting... my human is obviously losing focus!

Oooohhh... no... there they are!!!!

Wow! They are doing a big loop!

Up and up and...

Then they are going... over...

And coming back down!

Ooohhhh!!!

It was noisy!

Oh well, that's a good shot!

The waterfront is definitely the place to be!

But they move fast and sometimes this is all you get!

That's them firing off into the distance!

Pretty darn cool!

We learned that the guy narrating the show was Captain Richard MacDougall. He is Snowbird 11 and was involved in the crash in May 2020 ago in Kamloops. His plane was taking off and a bird went into the engine causing it to fail. MacDougall and his passenger, Captain Jenn Casey, a public affairs officer for the Snowbirds, both had to bail out at a very low altitude. MacDougall landed on the roof of a house and was badly injured. Casey landed in a tree and didn't make it.

We enjoyed the show a lot and Rose even shot some videos!

Way better than from the house!

Snowbirds and Birthday Mail!

Hullo! It's me! I got some mail and I wanted to show you...

Oh... this jersey? Yes, actually, it is new!!!

It's a legit Vancouver Canucks jersey!

Isn't it cool!!!

It's a tad big but you know hockey jerseys.. they tend to be big. I love it!

Anyhow... two things today... I got some bearthday mail!!

This one is from Little Fox!

I can say that this past year has been full of hiking, salmon, honey and crab!!!

A pretty darn good year! Hoping next year shapes up that way too! Thanks LF & Co!

Alright... on to the next thing... A few months ago, the Snowbirds were in town... not Canadian retireees... the actual Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds!  We could see them from the house!!

It's hard to concentrate when you can hear jets zooming overhead!!

I can't say we had the best view...

Er... somewhere in there...

There they are!!!

There's two of them!

Ooohhh...

Um... that would have been not bad except for the telephone pole!

Hmmm... my human can't aim very

Sigh...

Oooohhhh!!!

Rose was here as well... I think that last pic is from her camera! Anyhow... they were doing another show the next day... so we decided to brave the crowds (and the traffic) and go watch them from the harbour front, which is the centre of the action... stay tuned!! The photos are way better (and videos too!)...

P.S. Yes, we were just in London but you'll have to wait a few weeks for those blogs. We are trying to clear the backlog from the summer adventures still!
