Rainy Day Activities

It has been bucketing rain all day sooo... we decided to make some tomato soup!

"These are the leftover tomatoes from Sandy's greenhouse... they had icky bits which we got the humans to cut off."

First we are going to roast them and some garlic.

That's 3 pounds of tomatoes... pretty good end-of-season haul.

While we are waiting for the tomatoes to roast... we thought we would do some colouring!

We have this colouring book and we just need to pick something...

These leaves are pretty...

Or a landscape?

"Oooh... how about this one? We could each do one side!"

Excellent idea!

Colouring can be beary relaxing...

"I need to figure out my colours..."

"Oh wow! You are quick! I like the yellow background."
Yes, it reminds me of sunshine...

"Hmmm... "

"I kind of like the blue... for the sky!"

"A bright blue fall day..."

"With russet and orange and fox-coloured flowers..."

Yay! Do you do colouring?

While we were colouring, the humans ran the roasted tomatoes, garlic, carmelized onions and basil through the food processor... and added some spices and broth...

A big bowl of tomato soup with freshly grated parmesan is perfect for a fall day.

"Seeeee... russet, red and fall fox colours!"

Do you have a good tomato soup recipe you like?

Last Day...

Sigh... today is my last sunrise in this beautiful place...

It's sooo nice here.

I hope we can do this again soon...

But, for now, we are trekking (short trek) to the village...

Follow me... we are heading for a little shop that we know.

That's it there!

While the humans shopped... I got a pick with this charming couple...  One day I'll have to come down here for Day of the Dead.

This is our last towel animal... dragonfly I think...

I'm going to drown my sorrows with a last cerveza...

Is the shuttle here yet? No...

Sigh... sad bear...

***sob***

Oh wait!! I forgot... Guess what... I found another stuffie pal!!!

This is Fox from Ottawa! I had seen his humans taking pictures with him around our resort and finally we got a group selfie on the last day. He's a Chapters fox... didn't get his name... But it's neat to find other traveling stuffies.
