Sandy's Bearbnb Support Team

Hullo! Now, I know you think I run this Bearbnb all by myself but... that is not true! I have a great stuffie support team to whom I would like to introduce you!

This is Leo!!

When Bearbnb sent me the Superhost t-shirt, they sent it a size too small! But it fits Leo perfectly!

Leo oversees the smaller bedroom where the kids and their stuffies sleep. He is there to give advice and comfort in case anyone needs it!

Then we have Fluff and Flopp!

Fluff and Flopp are in charge of the toys cupboard which has various games and puzzles, colouring books and some plastic dinosaurs.

Flopp is very soft and fluffy... but we have to make sure that they are not left out and about when we have canine guests... it can get... well... messy.

Finally, we have two beary important stuffies who oversee the Power Outage Kit for guests.

Meet Polar and Honey!

They hang out in the power outage kit in case... well... in case the power ever goes out. And then they go into action!

They dole out the power bank so guests can charge their cell phones...

They have access to these lanterns which are beary bright... and guests can then see what they are doing and even play old-fashioned board games!

There's also some extra flashlights in here...

Some granola bars...

And some water bottles...

We are going to take this opportunity to charge up the power bank fully...

And... supplement the emergency kit because I just realized there is something beary important missing!!!

Can you guess what it is?

Ooof... I know they are in here somewhere... and no, it's not tea... although if we set up the propane camp stove outside during a power outage, they could definitely make tea... no....

This is just in case there are any stuffies with the guests and... ah-hah!!! Here we go!

We need some emergency honey packets for stuffie guests!! At least bear stuffie guests...

Whew! There we go... Now, the question... is there anything else we should have in our power outage kit? For an hour or 2 or 4 or 6? Drop a comment!

Leaving on a Jet Plane!

Hullo! I am off on another flight adventure!

Today's arrival into YVR (that's Vancouver for short) was mid-afternoon. Not a bad time!

But we have a 5 (yes, five) hour layover!!! Which is good, because it means I can get ahead with my blogging!

We brought some snacks too... cause there's nothing worse than a stuffie who gets hangry.

We wandered around the airport for a bit, to get our steps in... that virtual PCT trail isn't going to walk itself.

And found this vending machine... "UpMeals - the Future of Healthy Eating is Here". Huh?

This machine will dispense "healthy", "fresh" food... hmmmm... nope. Not going to try it.

There's lots of cool stuff to see at the airport.

Hah... I could almost pretend I was in Hawaii!

Lots of cool Indigenous art.

Go Canucks Go!!!!

There's even a waterfall!

Actually, more than one, because there is also one at the International Arrivals area!

I was trying to convince Mama to take me into the Air Canada lounge but apparently we don't have enough points to qualify. And why is that?? Why are we not Elite members?

Because we don't travel enough!!!! Ugh...

Of course there is a Starbucks (or two)... and of course I had a hot chocolate... cause why not.

I encountered this group of bears wearing Canucks jerseys!! They look about my size! Cool... how much for a jersey? Yep, willing to buy them off your backs guys...
$40!!!

No. Even I draw the line at a $40 jersey for a little bear. Hmph.

We went looking for another snack... hmmm... All-Dressed chips... we know Little Fox likes those...

And then... fairly quickly, all things considered, we were on the plane to our final destination!

Where are you going? Heh-heh... can you guess? Hint... it's not England!

Nope, and those are not the Rockies!

Ta-dah!!! We went to see Gramma for Mother's Day (yes, this blog is beary late).

Where are the Mice?

Sooo... as you may recall after we got back from Mexico in late December, Cocoa and Navy decided to stay in Vancouver with Dwarf Beanie but... I can't find them anywhere.... so Sherlock Sandy put on his cap and went on a hunt! Oh, there's Kiwi!!

So good to see you!!!! But do you know where the mice are??

"I haven't seen them for a while actually... but they are easy to miss."

Ummm... those two mice might be small, but they are not "easy to miss"!!

I asked this bear (cause dragons can be a bit spinny sometimes) but he had no clue what I was talking about, being new to the household!

This is harder than I thought!

Wait... what's this... a postcard!! I recognize this card!! I received one from Beanie Mouse too!!

Well, at least I know that they mice have been here!

Oooohh... a mouse!!! Hi mouse!!

Maybe mouse knows... where are Cocoa and Navy Beanie??

"Oh those two!! Well... you know... we hung out for the longest time but then... now that you mention it... I haven't seen them for... oh... I guess about a month. I thought maybe they went back home?"

"But... let's see... a month ago... that would have been about the time that Lexy arrived..."

Uh-oh...

Lexy... do you know...

Oh heck, she's such a bubble head puppy you can't get any sense out of her. And she's giving me the eye...

I got Mama to distract Lexy while I went and checked out her play area... and it was not pretty... A mauled cow... who hasn't seen any mice...

A tattered bunny! Who ran as soon as I approached, whimpering with fear. Ugh!

Could it be? Is it possible that Cocoa and Navy were... umm... seen as dog toys???

If found a coherent flying squirrel but he's new to the household too... and hasn't seen any mice...

I am going to have to confront Lexy and get her to focus...

From a distance mind you... Lexy... have you eaten the mice???

And she lunged at me!!!

Right then... more investigation required...

Cause this does not look good!!!

I dug deeper and found this stuffed duck.

Maybe the duck knows something?

GASP!!!! It's a decapitated duck!!!!

Honestly, I'm terrified for those two mice!!! And then I heard a voice going "Psssstt... bear!"

What's this??? A hand puppet??

"Yo, bear... you lookin' for those mice?"

Yes!!! Do you know where they are???

"Raahhhhhhh!!! They were eaten!!!"

Noooooooooo!!!!! Say it isn't so!!!

"Nah!!! Just pulling your leg!!!! heheh..."

Oh, you've got to be kidding me!!!! Well where are they then???!!!

"I heard they went with Rose for a trip to the Okanagan!!! They are soaking up some sunshine!"

Oh, well... that's a huge relief!! Although... they could have left me a note or sent a postcard or something!!! Hmph... mice... But... whew!!!!
