Sandy Departs for Jerry & Ben

 ***Editor's Note - this is a pre-recorded episode***

Well... I'm off to visit Jerry and Ben! Catching a Seagulls Airways connecting flight to Vancouver and then Canada Goose Airlines all the way to Minnesota!

The flight departs just after sunrise... and it's been soooo cold here! I hope it's warmer in MN. I did pack shorts and a t-shirt... fingers crossed!

And there comes the sun!!

Cocoa wishes he could come but we could only find one available seat on Seagull Airways soooo... sorry Cocoa!!!

I think I see my flight coming in now!! Gotta run!

See you guys later!! Bye Cocoa!!!

And just like that... he's off... Sniff... What's that saying? When the cat's away the mice will play. Hmph... more like... when the bear's away, the mouse will play!

Follow-up on the Invisible Mail

***Pre-recorded adventure***

Hullo... do you remember the Mystery Mail we got a while back? Well... we were pretty sure the blank piece of paper had invisible ink on it... probably lemon juice ink! Which gets revealed through heat.

So we tried a candle... nothing. We tried a blowdryer... nothing! Now we are pulling out the big guns... the iron!

Alright Cocoa... iron away!! And watch your tail!!! Nothing worse than a flat tail... (speaks the bear who has NO tail!)

Do you see anything?? I don't see anything!

Nope nothing!

OK... Ministry of Puzzles... was there another ink that was used? This mystery will have to remain unsolved for now... even though the fate of the world hangs upon us solving this! EEK!

TO BE CONTINUED (WE HOPE)

On the Hunt for the Dogwood

***Editor's Note - this is a pre-recorded episode**

We are off on an adventure today! It is dogwood blooming season and we are going to go and look for one out in the wild...

We could find one just down the street but...

We are Adventure Stuffies!!

And murky trails are all part of the adventure!

We found some Camas along the way...

They are so pretty...

It's been so wet and cool this spring, they are a bit later than normal.

And that white flower is called... oh shoot... it's called something! Oh... right... it's the Death Camas... go figure. It's Latin name is: Toxicoscordion venenosum... Toxic... and that looks like venom... Charming!

It's a bit of a grey gloomy day...

And... you see that lake... it's only 10°C!!

We know this because there was a triathlon happening this morning and they decided the lake was too cold for the swimming part so they had to do two running bits instead!

So they did run/bike/run...

Anyhow... back to the hunt for... the dogwood! There's one, way off in the distance!!

But we found this one closer by...

Such a pretty flower... from a tree. It's BC's emblem, you know.

We found a refreshment station as well... with water (even though it says Gatorade).

And there's an outhouse too!

There's another dogwood!

That was fun!

But I can tell you right now, those runners would have gotten soaked and muddy on this trail!

We have no desire to get any splashback from them, so we headed off!

An Estuary Sunrise

***Editor's Note - this is a pre-recorded episode.***

Good morning! We are off on a little hike this morning, chasing a sunrise.

We found some Saskatoon bushes...

The flowers are beary pretty.

We are at the river estuary... and the tide is beary high!

We've had so much rain and cool weather this spring... the marsh is doing well.

So pretty here.

One day, we should bring our S.S. Rubbermaid and have a little paddle out there.

There were two birds on the water... we think they were Mergansers...

So pretty here!

We didn't go far, just to the last spit of land we could sit on...

I'm sure the sunrise would look cool from the decks of the S.S. Rubbermaid (hint hint).

It's taking a while for the sun to get above the clouds.

The water really is in quite high!

There we go... this is sunrise above the clouds, finally!

And no... we did not get any hot chocolate while we were waiting!!!

So pretty!

That's just a rock in the river and sunrise just makes everything beautiful!

Next time... someone (cough, cough) better remember the hot chocolate!
