More Mail!

I got some mail!!! It's from the UK and... of course it's from Beanie Mouse & Co.

It's one of Beanie's found-art creations...

From a menu or something... Kofte Kebab with chips and a drink. Yum!!

Maybe he's sent us some food?

But first we have to get into this envelope. It's been washi-taped within an inch of its life... good grief!

Nurse... we did some scissors...

Alright, we're in!! I don't see any food... nor smell any residual kebab smell... sigh.

But it's got a nice card in there... with glitter and stuff.

Oops... think it's supposed to be this way. I think it's a.... flower...

It is a flower? Or just abstract musings??

And there's another card inside the flower card! I think it goes this way...

Or maybe this way??

Anyhow... the flower card has our prize bullion from the latest mystery!! It's another 50p piece....

Thanks Moriarty Beanie!

Can you see? It's got the Victoria Cross Commemoration on it... cool.

Thanks Beanie & Co!! Now...

For the next mystery... what is this a picture of? It looks kind of like a horse... and a person... but it's not making any sense...

Huh... that's cause it's a Galloping Centaur Abducting a Woman (by Rodin). I'dve never guessed that!!!

Geocachers

Hullo! Yes, we made it through!! It wasn't that long but... it was beary dark in there...

We found a tree house here too... cool. It needs a bit of work though...

And then we came across these two garden gnomes. We tried to engage them in conversation but...

The first one wouldn't listen to us...

And the second one wouldn't talk to us!!

I can't imagine that those two have a healthy relationship!!

All along the trail we found these metal hoops from the old wooden pipe Cool....

But... we are here to geocache so onwards!

There's another cache here somewhere... do you see it yet?

Hah!! There it is!!

This one has camo-tape all over it, to better hide it...

We put the yellow key chain in this one...

And tucked it back in place... nothing to see here...

We had a look at the lake as well... it sure is high this time of year.

And we found a carving that someone had left in the woods...

And some beary weird orange fungus...

Nice view, eh?

That rocky bluff is a favourite "carousing" spot and we picked up almost $2 worth of cans and bottles that people had just left lying around. Humans!!

Finally... our third and last geocache... do you see it??

This is the purple one and there's quite a few purple things in there...

We left little bat cat in there... hope someone takes him home sometime!

Righteo... that's our adventure for today! The weather has not been cooperating most days so we'll have to be patient for our next adventure outing! Now... time for some brownies!!

Right then... who wants a brownie... or two??? Cause what with Cocoa Beanie's chocolate addiction...
"Hey!!!!..."
Right then... with both of our chocolate addictions... we each want one brownie!

Ummm... two brownies? They look kind of weird...

They're smaller than normal... in fact... it almost looks like a brownie cut in half?

Really? Starbucks is doing what all retailers are doing... cutting the size while keeping the price the same?? I find that hard to believe...

In fact, if you do a choco-analysis of the two brownies you can see that various features continue from one to the other, which would indicate... this was ONE brownie that was cut in half!!

What do you think stuffie pals? Are we getting ripped off???

A Geocaching Adventure

Hullo! Today we are going on a serious adventure...

We got some cool key chains from Cocoa Beanie's cousins in the UK... and so it's time to hunt some caches and deposit the gifts therein... There's a yellow-themed cache we are going to look for...

And a purple themed cache... some kids left this little bat-cat behind a few years ago sooo... purple!

And then a Star Wars themed one. Alright... let's get this show on the road!

First up, the yellow themed cache which was a big washout. The clue said it was in the rocks but... someone had dumped a big pile of logs in front of the rocks and... we couldn't find nothing! Some other people had the same experience in the online forum sooo... onwards!

Right then, we're going down this old road to a gully...

There's a little tiny creek down here. Quite pretty...

And there's another trail over on this side. Cool!

We didn't know about this trail... alright... what's our next clue... "taking a bath in the woods"... Hmmm....

I think this might be it!! An old cast iron bathtub...

Can you see anything Cocoa??

"Well... there's something in there, for sure!"

Alright... who's going to go in there and look?

Ask a silly question... I guess that would be me! Hmm... there's a lot of crud in here but... I think I see it!

It's a little plastic container and...

A couple of toys and and a pencil with the paper log... nice...

We left the Star Wars key ring in here... we need to come back in a few months and see if anyone has taken it!

Right then, let's see where this trail goes. It's a beary steep drop off to the right but... we are sure-footed stuffies! (Mostly...)

Look what we found!! It's an old wooden pipe... A dog walker said that it used to carry water from the lake down to a BC Hydro dam down near where we did our watery hike the other day. That would have been in the olden days...

I wonder how far it goes?? Shall we explore a bit??
