A Mystery Puzzle

 Hullo... we have a surprise...

.... of sorts...

It's a mystery puzzle!!! Called The Artist's Cat...

Cocoa is not pleased that this is a cat puzzle but... sometimes you just gotta roll with it.

But why... why isn't there The Artist's Mouse???

Moving right along... it's A Riddle within a Puzzle!

Maybe there's a mouse hidden in the puzzle???

We're not sure about that but... there are these little snippets from famous paintings, all around the edge...

See... we think that top left one is a Monet...

And the top right one is a Klimt...

And we think the chair is a Van Gogh and... then there's Munch's one... The Scream!

That one between the two faces is a Turner? Or a Constable?

And then.... there's the tiger!

We think the funny face with the yellow stripe down the middle might be a Picasso and the one of the lady with the beads in her hair might be a Gaugin...

And then we're back at the top...

We also noticed that there are numbers next to each painting... in different languages... un, six, quattro,

and the corner ones have red numbers...

We think Beanie Mouse has seen this tiger picture in real life but we can't remember the artist!

It's all beary mysterious!

And there are two deux here... and then an een... are all the twos maybe by one artist?

Or maybe the different languages???

Alright... first step... assemble the puzzle!

And name the artist's cat!

We noticed the cat has an "L" on his collar... so maybe an L-name?

Whew... we got it done!!! Now... what?

To Be Continued!

Geocaching with a Beary Special Visitor

Guess who came for a visit over spring break??? Yep, it's Rose! And we decided to take her... geocaching!

So we got the geocaching app reinstalled... it had stopped showing our location which made it hard to use but... all it needed was a reinstall... and off we went. Are we going to find this one?

Yes!!! We got it!

What about this one???

Yes!! We got it! And yes... we made Rose do all the heavy lifting and bending and crouching... that's what you do when you are an apprentice geocacher!

We are trying to get up to a total of 20 found caches so we can finally leave one of our caches somewhere!!

Yep... this one is a bit murky... but....

We are brave, adventurous stuffies!

We are looking for the geocache we found once before... it's a place to take a bath in the woods. We tried to convince rose that it was this old sink but she said that wasn't big enough for a bath... hmph... it is for stuffies!

But she figured out it was the old bathtub just down the trail!

We had left a key chain in here last year and... it's gone! Yay!!!

There was an eraser in there... and the log sheet...

We left another key chain in this one! The other 2 were too small but this one is perfect!

Thanks to Beanie for sending us those keychains!

We had fun!!! And Rose has now downloaded the geocaching app as well... so when she comes again, we are going to go and find some more... and make our own cache!!

A Spring Hike

We went for a hike!! Finally!!!

It's been so dark and gloomy!! But look... it's so bright in the sunshine!

The trees are pretty in the morning sunshine. Heck everything is prettier!

As we rambled along, we saw a camelia flower perched on an old stump...

So pretty.

And we found some of these too!

We think they are beary pretty but... skunk cabbage is also beary stinky! It's also known as bearweed (go figure) because bears are the only ones that will eat the flower buds and leaves. Hmmm... Apparently it acts as a laxative for them to poop out their fecal plug that they've been sitting with during hibernation. ... ewwww...

But we also have...

Fresh green leaves! Spring is really here.

Let's hike!

We are going up here to Moon Bluff. It's one of our favouritist spots!

Ahhhh... being eaten by an arbutus tree!

Almost there...

Here we are... a nice view to the south...

And funny cloud shapes...

We are going to just lie here and soak up some sun for a while... and listen to the birds chirping... ahhhhh....
