A Spring Hike

We went for a hike!! Finally!!!

It's been so dark and gloomy!! But look... it's so bright in the sunshine!

The trees are pretty in the morning sunshine. Heck everything is prettier!

As we rambled along, we saw a camelia flower perched on an old stump...

So pretty.

And we found some of these too!

We think they are beary pretty but... skunk cabbage is also beary stinky! It's also known as bearweed (go figure) because bears are the only ones that will eat the flower buds and leaves. Hmmm... Apparently it acts as a laxative for them to poop out their fecal plug that they've been sitting with during hibernation. ... ewwww...

But we also have...

Fresh green leaves! Spring is really here.

Let's hike!

We are going up here to Moon Bluff. It's one of our favouritist spots!

Ahhhh... being eaten by an arbutus tree!

Almost there...

Here we are... a nice view to the south...

And funny cloud shapes...

We are going to just lie here and soak up some sun for a while... and listen to the birds chirping... ahhhhh....

    1. I know... but there was no delicate way to say it... maybe wolves/dogs don't have this problem?
