The Guest Who Slept in and Missed the Ferry

Good morning!!! I am supervising the cleaning of my Bearbnb. Our guests checked out early as they were racing to catch the ferry! And then they are catching the plane out to Ontario.

I always check to make sure that my maid service (sekrebeary) is doing a good job down here.

Good help is hard to find, you know.

A mountain of laundry and... wait... what??

Do you hear that? I hear something!!!

Hello??? Is there someone in here?

"Help meeeee... I can't breathe!!!"

Don't worry... I'm coming!!!!

Oh my goodness!!! It's a lamb!! What are you doing here??

"I don't know!!!!!! I slept soooo good last night!! And... wait... where are my people?? Who are you??? ..."

Uh-oh... this is a BIG problem!! Our guests had a little 2 year old and... I'm going to guess that she is Lamb's person!
You know how 2-year olds are when their stuffie is not immediately available?? Well... imagine how stuffies are... when their person isn't available!

It's OK Lamb... Your people checked out early and they were in a rush and... you probably missed the wake-up call... but it's going to be OK!

"Boo-hooooooooo!!!! They... left... without... MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! What will my little human doooooooooo???"
***heart-renching sobs... copious amounts of stuffie tears... laundry is now getting pre-rinsed....***

Right then... need to get on this right away!!!

Because if the stuffie is sobbing... can you imagine the human little one??!

Alright... here we go... We've been a bit busy and contacted the guests. They have asked us to arrange for Lamb to be sent home to Ontario via UPS Airways. Have you heard of UPS Airways? It's United Plushie & Stuffie Airways... They take beary good care of lost plushies and will get Lamb to her person by tomorrow morning!!

We just need to get Lamb down to the departure zone for UPS-A... but first... a little snack for Lamb. Every stuffie needs some snacks when they get on a plane!

"Thank you sooooooo much Sandy!!!"
Awwww... shucks... it was nothing!

"No, seriously... you've been great! It's so nice to have a stuffie taking care of other stuffies!
Humans can be a bit... you know... brusque with us!"

Ain't that the truth! Alright... let's get you off to the departure zone before we miss the overnight cut-off!!

Whew... Lamb barely made the Final Call at UPS-Airways! But... we made it! And before Lamb went, they gave me a lovely craft card that Lamb and the little one had made!

It's a post card... and I think I know who I'll send it to!

Another crisis averted. It's amazing the stuff guests leave behind but this is the first stuffie that has been forgotten. Glad we could reunite Lamb with their people! It's what Superhosts do!

A Suspenseful Suspension Bridge

Hullo!! Believe it or not, today I am going on a little hike!! It's been ages since I have gone on a hike.

This hike follows a short section of the Trans Canada Trail.

And there is absolutely "NO SMOKING" in the woods. They are sooo dry.

Alright... are you ready!

It's a fairly flattish trail to start with.

With some cute little flowers. They are called Twin Flowers because there are two flowers on one stalk.

I also saw a caterpillar... or is it a millipede?? It's black with yellow bits and lots of legs. I wonder what it turns into??

Ooooh... I searched for it and I found it! It's a Yellow-spotted Millipede aka the Cyanide Millipede! Fascinating stuff!

There's the bridge!

It's a suspension bridge!

How are you with heights??

Alright... we're going across...

It has metal grill plates and you can see through them...

Ooooh... pretty!

And that's upstream.

I wonder if we can get down there...

We poke around the downstream section of the cliffs but it's pretty cliffy...

But also beary mossy... this would be a nice picnic spot if someone had remembered to pack a picnic!

Let's try the downstream section... Huh. What does that sign say?

Hmmm... there must be old coal mines in the area. I might have to check my maps at home and see what is out here!

Ah-hah!!! That looks trail-ish...

And trail-ish is accurate. You needed to be part mountain goat to get down there but.... we managed it!

Ta-dah!!! Isn't this gorgeous???

This would make a great swimming hole.

The suspension bridge is waaaayyyyy up there...

This is a beary pretty spot... even better for a picnic! If we had a picnic... hmph!

And now... it's the big scramble back up to the main trail!

This would not be fun when it is raining!!  But we managed to make it back up in one piece... with no old mines in sight!

A grand adventure and a new swimming hole to try out with Rose!
