All too soon it was time to leave!! What the heck...
Minnie loved it there... and all of Gramma's baskets!
The other thing we did was lay Grampa to rest... Yes that is a German cookie tin holding his ashes. He loved his cookies!
We'll get a tombstone later...
And then it was back into the car and driving and driving and driving. We did do some leg stretching...
If only to admire the majestic Sitka Spruce.
Minnie is such a trooper!!
And then we were in Rupert which was 1000 times better than Port Hardy. They know to load a ferry!!! We left on time too...
The weather was much better too...
It was practically warm out!
Soooo beautiful.
We will be stopping at Bella Bella during the daylight hours...
But don't worry... we have a berth for tonight again!! This ferry left at 9 am from Rupert and we'll get in at 7 am into Port Hardy.
In the meantime, I can work on my suntan... I am soooo pale after the winter!
Here we are at Bella Bella... they got a new dock recently...
And then it was off again... and the next morning...
I got up early to catch the sunrise....
Soon enough, we'll be in Bear Cove...
It was a truly Epic Adventure!!! And Bear-Approved!! If you ever get the chance... you can do a big circle tour... drive up-island... catch the ferry north to Rupert and then drive over to Prince George, then down to Hope and back to Vancouver!
We got off the ferry and drove like demons to get home quickly... very little leg stretching... Minnie had had enough of the car by then!

They are. Grampa has been gone for a few years now, but it was good to finally get him in the ground.
