Hullo! The Architecture Contest closed yesterday and... I had three entries! Little Fox, his pal Grinnell and Beanie Mouse (of course!).

Little Fox sent in this beary nice picture...

Grinnell submitted this pic. Looks like Grinnell might be related to Leo...

And Beanie Mouse & String Beanie had their pic taken in front of the Savoy Hotel in London which is a beary posh and famous art deco building.

Mail Call!

I received some mail last week. I must say... the postal geese are slacking off. This is a Valentine's Day card and took forever to get here. And... er... cough-cough... the sekrebeary is slacking off a bit in timely posting. Think she may be resting on her laurels too much with all the international trips I've been taking... Must stay on top of her!

This card is FULL of stickers... Peanuts stickers... and a fleur-de-lis design... I know who this is from!

Oh, and Ben says "Hello" to Rose. Did you know Rose is going into high school next year? How did that happen??? She was just a tiny mouse and now... sheesh... they grow up quick!

Thanks so much guys! I didn't get Valentine's cards off this year... Mexico taking priority of course... But I did get postcards sent off... so that is something. Did you know it's spring here? Yes... we heard robins singing the other morning... and we've started planting stuff in the greenhouse... What's that? Oh... er... yes... my friends in the American Midwest may not be quite that far along (still up to their armpits in snow) soooo... I'll just zip my little mouth and keep the crocus pictures to myself... for a bit!

Hello there. While I was in Mexico, I got a few odd American currency pieces. At first I thought they might be bogus... cause I'd never seen them before!

Here we have a $2 bill - I only thought the US had $1 bills but... apparently not.

I wonder why we don't see more of these...

Maybe my American stuffie pals can shed some light on the matter?

The other thing is a coin that I got as change...

At first I thought it was a quarter but... it isn't...

It's a one dollar coin! Huh... I've seen half dollar coins but they are bigger... This one is strange.

And it's got a picture of a woman on the back. It's called a Susan B. Anthony coin...

Maybe my American stuffie friends can enlighten me on why the US doesn't have dollar coins either?? Inquiring minds want to know!

This is Fox from Ottawa! I had seen his humans taking pictures with him around our resort and finally we got a group selfie on the last day. He's a Chapters fox... didn't get his name... But it's neat to find other traveling stuffies.

Ajdin's Trash to Treasure Contest

Hullo!! I just got a reminder that Ajdin's contest deadline is coming up! I interrupt this regularly scheduled broadcast...

I went rooting through our recycle bin (I hope that counts as trash...)... Let's see what we have to work with... lots of paper... boxes...  ooohh... what's this... a diving bell?

I could use this for diving? It has some holes though... maybe not.

But it's comfy!

Oooh... how about this one! It's bigger...

I could use it like a glass-bottomed boat/chamber... for floating and viewing underwater marine life... I like it!

Parched Bear...

Hello... I am trekking back to our resort along the Akumal Trail. This beach is a big turtle nesting site...

Wow... it sure is a long way back....

Oh look... beach stuff!

Some coral... and a limpet and the tiniest sea urchin ever!

Oooh... more sea urchins!

These ones still have a bunch of the spines, big and small, attached. Neat.

And... what looks like fossils... hmmm... too bad my pal Little Fox, Archaeologist isn't here...

I see some corals and bivalve shells...

 Cool!

But... geez... it sure is hot out... and I'm parched... this is a super long hike and... I don't think...

... I'm going to make it... Oh wait... is that our resort? Finally???

Whew... made it... but that was an epic trek... time to relax in the hammock.
