A Sunny Cliff after a Watery Hike

Our watery hike has turned into a real adventure! We got blocked at various points by flooded trails and ended up here, on this very dry and sunny cliff overlooking a meadow...

Well... it's normally a meadow. It's a bit under water at the moment... but the ducks and Canada Geese are loving it!

And we are loving the sunshine. After so many days of being cooped up by the rain, it's good to get out into the fresh air.

And, of course, we had do get a good blog header pic...

We also found a patch of electric green mosses... sooo pretty...

And so comfy too!! A bit wet mind you...

Over there, on the right hand side of that hedge is the meadow where we've been hiking before... all under water.

And now we're going to bushwhack our way out of here... This looks like a little bit of a trail...

Built for a short stuffie... like a mouse!

Wait up, Cocoa! Oooff... this bracken fern is a bit of a tangle...

Good grief that little mouse can scamper quickly...

I'm not sure I would call that a trail!

"Hang on... you've got bracken fern hanging off your head..."

"There... all gone."
Thanks Cocoa... wait... what's that over there???

It's a tiny boombox! Just lying in the grass...

It's all waterlogged but I've never seen such a tiny little boombox...

Heh-heh... we could be baggy-bottomed gangsta stuffies from the 'hood...

This was a smashingly great adventure... we kept getting detoured and that's what made it an adventure. Excellent!

  1. What no brownies? So are the Canadian Geese that are in Canada this winter afraid to travel internationally? Covid....you know.

    1. Oh there were brownies... just not photographed. Hmmm... was just reading a study about our Canada Geese. Apparently they tagged some and they traveled to WA and OR... have you seen them?
