A Watery Hike

Hullo! It is sunny today (gasp!) and so we decided to get out for an adventure, now that Cocoa Beanie has a tunic to keep him warm. Hmm... we've had a lot of rain lately but... nah... we should be good.

Let's go!

Cocoa Beanie has never seen such green moss before... in January, no less!

And this is the old apple orchard... my Cocoa sure has a long tail... beary expressive too.

Hmmm... these ditches sure are full of water...

But it looks OK up ahead to the bridge...
"Are you sure this is safe? I mean... maybe it's another Mouse Island tsunami flood!?"
No, no... tsunamis happen quickly... although, now that you mention it... this is in a tsunami flood zone if the dam ever breaks... but... let's not talk about that!"

Ohhhh... I think we're just going to squeak past this bit of flooding! I wonder what the trail on the other side of the bridge looks like?

The creek is sure running high!

Normally, I can go under the bridges for my adventure exploration area but... it is all under water today. Wow...

And... here's the trail on the other side!
"Are you suurrrrreeee this isn't a tsunami???!!!"
Positive!!!

But, I don't think we're going to get around this flooded area... if we had a bicycle we could just ride through it but... nope...

Unless the human wants to wade through it?? ... No, eh? Alright then...

Let's go this way! This is what adventures are all about... forging a new path even when circumstances through a flooded trail your way.

Except... even this trail is almost under water! This area is normally a bunch of tall grasses... all gone... I bet the beavers are having lots of fun with all this water.

Hmmm... and this path is flooded too... but we will not be dissuaded from our adventure quest!

"Nope, let's go find an adventure!"

It's fun having an adventure buddy!

And... wow... this is normally a meadow! But it sure is nice out here in the sunshine...

To Be Continued

  1. Now that you have an adventure buddy...does that mean you will have to buy 2 starbucks brownies at the end of the adventure?
