Hullo!!! I am going on another quick trip. I have to say that the humans are doing beary well with the trips this year. But... although it might look like I'm on a plane... I am not!
I'm on a ferry!!!
But not just any old BC Ferries ferry... no, I am taking the new(ish) catamaran Hullo ferry!
It is beary posh on the upper level...
But on these ferries... you can't go outside... just inside. They go super fast!
BC Ferries goes at 18 knots and the Hullo goes at 40 knots!
We bought some snacks... cause snacks are important when traveling with a stuffie.
While we were zipping to Vancouver in just over an hour... we wrote a card for Rose!
And... we are almost there!
That's the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park...
Seeeee!!!
The Hullo docks in downtown Vancouver, near Canada Place... beary convenient!
It's a busy harbour and we had to give the float planes a wide berth.
And here's Rose!!
We gave her the Avengers key chain that
Jerry and Ben had sent for Rose's bearthday! She loves it!
And.... we went and saw Rose as Ali in Mamma Mia!!! She's the one holding the umbrella!
We think she did a great job!
And then... we headed home again! Just a one night trip... on the way home we passed by the Floatel that has been hanging out on the east coast of Vancouver Island since January. It is supposed to house the LNG workers near Squamish but there were licensing hiccups. (N.B. in late June, they finally got permission to park it near Squamish!).
At first I thought there was a ferry from Vancouver Island to Vancouver, WA. Mama Mia? Thats a great musical!
