Another Waterfall

I got to go on another hike! This is seriously shaping up to be a good year for this little bear. And look... this boulder has a perfect little-bear lounging spot...

Perfect for this little bear's butt.

 So nice and calm here... and I can hear robin's chirping... which means spring is just around the corner.

 I poke around a bit and found this trail down to the creek...

Hmm... I wonder if there are any fish in this creek... it has some nice deep pools which would be perfect for fishies...

This little bear likes fish you know...

The water is still quite high though, I imagine in the summer, most of this is going to be dry.

I love this bridge! It's soooo neat...

And then... we found the waterfall! It's beary pretty...

 Even prettier when there is a little bear lounging in front of it.

 We've been here before and never gone past this point but the map says there is a trail that goes farther... we're going to give it a shot.

First we have to go up here... well, the trail goes around the other side... still... it's UP!

That's better...

There are a whole bunch of trails up here... mountain bike trails mostly... we are trying to follow the one trail that will let us loop back to our starting point.

Did we bring snacks? Cause this is turning into quite the hike...

 No snacks?! Seriously??? Sigh... where is that evaluation report.

Oh yay! Civilization!

And this is part of the Trans Canada Trail... I want to try bits and pieces of that...

Maybe next time.

A much more civilized trail...

I wonder if there are any snacks in here? Acorns maybe? Anything?

Nope... nothing. And not very deep either so not a good hiding spot.

 But this little tree is super cool!! It started by growing on an old stump which rotted away over the years and the little tree obviously tipped over slowly and kept trying to grow vertically and.... cool!

It's roots make a good little bear labyrinth... And then it started raining and we had to sprint for the car!
