Garden Produce

Hullo! I just realized I hardly posted any pictures of the garden this year! Well... let's just say, it did very well, despite the drought conditions we had. Lots of watering required but... you can see the kale did very well!

Normally, it all gets eaten by aphids but... this year... our best kale year ever!

And we had broccoli too... we picked the big ones and now just get little ones.

We even planted 5 zucchini plants but only one really produced good zucchini this year... no idea why.

Here are some young ones... you have to watch them like a hawk because they can be young and small one day and... boop... the next day or two, they grow ginormous!

We had cucumbers too... but they got ripped out earlier today.

But there are still tomatoes in the greenhouse. They did beary well too

We had sungold ones (orange and small - soooo yummy!)...

And some bigger red ones...

And even some big yellow ones. They were super good!

Ahem... more kale...

Lots and lots of kale this year.

Then there are some beets.

Not bad, eh?

And the grapevine did ok too. These are seedy grapes so we just nibble on them.

And then here... it might not look like much from this side but...

Underneath, you can see all of the Italian plums!!! soooo good!

Polish them up on your shirt and...

So yummy!

Not a bad bountiful harvest... and yes... that is a zuchhini.

Sigh... it got away on us...

But that's a pretty basket of produce if I do say so myself!

The dahlias did well this year too...

Oh... and here's a tiny snail snacking on our kale. Cute little guy!

Did you plant anything this year? How'd it do?

  1. Oh yes. Tomatoes, zuchini, Mexican squash, delicata squash, onion, pe8ass, marigolds, wildflower mix, lettuce, spinach, basil, jalepeno and red peppers.

  2. Nice! Lots of squash in there. How do they do? We have tried squash and then get a huge plant with lots of vines and maybe one or two squash. Kind of disappointing.

  3. Squash did okay. You could get a few meals out of the delicata, and a ton of zuchini. ..
