Sticker Mail!

Hullo! I received more mail... I know, this is the summer of Mail! But... it's mystery mail.

See... it's from Montreal. And we don't know nobody in Montreal...

It's also "Happy Mail"....

I wonder what it could be?

Ooooh... it's a gorgeous bear sticker!!!

I love bear stickers!!

And it's from my pal Ajdin... I didn't enter a contest or anything and... I guess Ajdin is just sending stuff out to all his pals.

Now, where to put it... this is the other sticker Ajdin sent a few years ago...

Maybe I could put this new one on the water bottle too?

I could stick it above the Canadian Blood Donation sticker...

I think that's what I'll do... but, wait... there's more!

They are antique botanical drawings.. cool.

I think this one is upside down... we got out the magnifying glass but the print is too pixelated to read what the plants are.

No idea...

Still... Ajdin knows I am a budding botanist so these are beary nice!

P.S. Rose was here in early July but... guess what... we are getting more Distinguished Guests this coming week!! Wonder who it could be?

Crafting with Rose

Sooo... we did a lot of swimming adventures with Rose but... we also played games (UNO - Rose is a card shark), and started watching the Marvel movies in timeline order (Captain America, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Avengers, Thor: Dark World, Iron Man 3, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy...) Whew... And, on top of that... Rose wanted to share some crafting with us - she makes friendship bracelets!

That's a LOT of thread!!

The bracelet making involves a cardboard disk and 7 threads...

And you do some magic and... a bracelet gets spit out the bottom. Where'd she learn this... TikTok...

She showed Mama how to do it and I ordered a bracelet for myself... I just needed to pick out colours...

I think I got it!!

Mine's going to be green!

Here it comes!!

Rose made one for Otto...

These are some of the ones Rose has finished - she's really fast!

Otto's is done already because (a) he has a smaller forearm and (b) Mama is slower and Rose is faster!

Seee... nice colours...

But... mine was ready pretty quick too...

The green matches the green on my shorts and hat!

Now we both have friendship bracelets to seal the friendship!

Rose is also working on a couple of other ones... a blue one... for a stuffie pal... and a red one for another pal. She says we could turn them into belts too... if they were long enough... That might work better for the more petit stuffie pals...

Very Distinguished Guests!

 Look who came for a visit!!! It's Rose and Otto!!!

You know what that meant... lots of water time!! That's not Otto in the water... that's a random dog doing a photo bomb (Little Fox would know all about dogs photo bombing...)

We went to the lake and the river... It was soooo nice because it was 37C here for a while!! Which is ugly hot and 10 C above normal!

We all appreciated the cool river water...

Heh-heh... Otto of course... appreciated it even more because...

He's a river otter and loved the water!

Cocoa Beanie and I stayed on shore though...

And snacked on fresh strawberries from the garden...

Hand fed to us by Rose!

And... of course... there was ice cream...

And yet More Mail!

Hullo! We didn't check the mailbox for almost a week and... I got mail!! Three pieces of mail, to be exact...

Before we get started... Jerry and Ben had sent a photograph via Whatsapp a few weeks ago... It was the first clue in a mystery! First National Bank... Sherlock Sandy looked closely at the photograph and saw the hitching post out front... Hmm... He did sleuthing of banks like this in the MN region and... suspected it was the bank in Northfield, MN which had a famous bank robber!

And... here we have another clue... It's a postcard of Jesse James! The bottom says... Northfield Bank Robber!! 

Can I solve this puzzle??

I think so... that bank photo is definitely the bank (former bank) in Northfield MN!! In 1876, Jesse James and a bunch of other bandits tried to rob the bank but were stymied by a bank employee who said the safe was on a timer... Eventually the robbers ran off (when the citizens of the town came to the bank's rescue)... 

Jesse James must have escaped because the photograph on the postcard was taken in 1882...

Next up, we have some Beanie Mouse mail!!

 Beanie has apparently found a cache of stickers!

Seeeee... all sorts of stickers and stamps!

I really need to go and visit Gramma and see if she has more stickers that she wants to declutter...

Well... me thinks it's a dictionary coin!!! Oxford and Webster... and lists of words!! Must be a 50p coin too (half a century, heptagonal)...

See... it's a commemoration of Johnson's Dictionary (which started in 1755)... whew!

This is a hefty envelope with "craft supplies"... hmmm...

I joined an Instagram contest and... although I didn't win... Beanie sent me some spare envelopes!
