Traveling to Gramma

Woof! It's me, Rusty... I am in Vancouver airport, waiting for the flight to Gramma's place...

We are bringing Gramma one of our heritage primroses's... she asked for one from the garden...

We call them heritage ones because we got them from an old farm that was being developed into ticky-tacky houses... and they make pale pink/purple flowers and are WAY more vigorous than the store bought primroses... and... our flight is being called... talk later!!

Hi Gramma!!! As soon as we walked in the door, Gramma started baking... I think Jerry and Ben would like that...

Wonder what we're making... this would make a great dog food bowl!

Let's see... we have some ground hazelnuts...

and eggs...

and sugar... normally the recipe calls for white sugar but Gramma is trying to avoid that and uses brown sugar instead.

And a bottle of almond extract... just a few drops of that needed.

We need a loaf pan... (no this is not a product-placement ad for Pam!!...)

I wonder if I'll get out for a walk soon...

Cause dogs love walks you know!!

And moving right along...

Do you know what Gramma is making? I do!!! She's making her world famous hazelnut torte... yum!

I'll just supervise...

Not that Gramma needs much supervision...

And there it is... in the loaf pan... cooking away... can we walk now?

Nope... now it's time to prep dinner! I wonder what's under the foil...

Oooh... a big hunk of...

Beef... cooked as a sauerbraten... yum!

Gramma pre-cooked it yesterday knowing we were coming... now we just have to heat it up...

With some gravy...

Oops... I forgot... sorry...

DROOL ALERT!!!

And... voila... dinner is served with red cabbage and dumplings and sauerbraten... yummers....

    1. Yes she does... but she requests that they work in her garden and taste test her food. Does that work for you?

  2. Nice that all the food gramma made was dog friendly. No onions, no chocolate, no grapes. You're a lucky dog.

    1. Well if there is any chocolate around, we stuffies are very ready to sacrifice ourselves and eat it, just so that any doggies aren't tempted by it...such sacrifices have to be made.

    2. Yes, Gramma is very good about dietary restrictions! Means more chocolate for other creatures (e.g. humans).
