This is what I signed up for... taking over Sandy's walking adventures while he's away... He's a beary talented bear you know... a Bear of all Trades...
and... we walked to Gramma's garden... sigh... I think maybe Chef Theodore or Sooty Zotti should have come on this trip with me!!! Gramma is growing onions... swiss chard, lettuce and carrots in this bed, with some tomatoes under those mini-greenhouse water cooler things....
Then we thinned out some kale...
... and walked a bit... Ooohh... forest walk??
Nope... gramma's other garden...
This one is mostly flowers with a few veggies thrown in for good measure. It is a tricky garden because the big old spruce trees suck up a lot of moisture...
I met some of Sticky's relatives... I wonder if maybe he should have come on this trip too!
And then Gramma wanted the area under their storage building cleaned up a bit... She stores some garden stuff in there but...
there is a lot of junk in there!!! Old massive electrical panels from when the complex was owned by the lumber mill that Grampa used to work for... and pipes... and pvc... and 2x4s and metal joist hangers and... goodness... we'll be here a while... you guys go ahead... and I'll get back to you later!
Does grana keep any chickens????? They would be a good addition and dogs can eat eggs.
ReplyDeleteNooo... no chickens... but that's a good idea!
DeleteWow, that is an AMAZEEEING garden. Does Gramma need any live-in little bear garden assistants and baking taste-testers? We volunteer!
