A Sunny Signal Hill & Home

Hullo! One final stop... we are heading back to Signal Hill because it's sunny out! And last time we went it was foggy, cold and drizzling all over us...

Today we get a great view of St. John's!

And over there... just to the left of that headland is...

Cape Spear! We were just there the other day...

We already saw Signal Hill so I'm not going to show you everything again...

Except the view... because the view is stellar!

St. John's harbour really is an amazing place... cruise ships can come in here and dock!

We are hoping to get into the Signal Hill tower

Cause when we here last time, it was early and it was closed...

We are in luck... it is open!

Hmmm... this tower commemorates the 60th year of Queen Victoria's reign... interesting. But the inside of the building only had a gift shop. There were stairs up to the roof deck but they were closed because it was so windy and they wouldn't let anyone up there. Phooie...

Right... let's see if something else is open down at the info centre...

Like the Newfoundland Chocolate Cafe!!!

They have cute Jelly Bean houses on their chocolate wrappers...

But we went for ice cream... a massive cup of ice cream... all for me!

And... we got one more Airbnb...

Cause this little bear is pooped!

And the next day, our flight left in the early afternoon, so we had lunch at the airport...

Which was beary expensive!!!

But this little bear tired a flight of beers...

The middle one was probably my favourite... although they were all good.

And then, of course... dessert!

That's our plane!

But only for part of the way...

Because we had a layover here... where everything was in French first!

I can now say I have been to Montreal (or at least the airport!).

Of course, we needed a snack... this cookie was beary yummy....

And then we landed in Vancouver and had another layover... ugh.

Wake me up when we are home!

We did get home around 11 pm... a beary long trip!!! Newfoundland was super cool and there was a lot more to see that we didn't have time for... next time!
