Reaching the Far Side of the Falls

 Hi again!! We are trekking through the forest searching for the Far Side of the Falls... and... after a few trails and a bit of bush-whacking...

We found it!! Ooohhh...

Did we bring a barrel?? Can we send someone over the falls in a barrel??? No barrel? Why do we bring the backpack if it has no barrel in it?? Sigh....

That would be sooo cool... to go over in a barrel...

Of course... we'd need someone down below to fish the barrel out of the water...

Now... to find a way down to the bottom of the falls... maybe not that goat path...

We'll go up...

And over... and then down here...

Down a beary steep slope...

With more ropes... good that they are here too... it is seriously steep!

But... we are getting there...

And we are down!!

Normally we come here in the summer or fall when there is hardly any water flowing but... this is a good flow!!

Now we just... err... need to get across this raging creek so we can make this a round trip hike... hmmm...

After a bit of debate... we chose a path and... only one toe got wet...

Not bad...

And we are across!!

That's it for this hike... we are going back into the backpack because... the climb outta here is...

Seriously muddy...

But now we know that we can do a round trip... much easier when the water is lower...
