Les Chefs

Hello! We are going to be cooking dinner tonight... using the meal-subscription service that Chef Theodore started while I was away. Today's meal is vegetarian... which we are all a little skeptical about but... c'est la vie!

Today's meal is Cheese Tortellini with Balsalmic Brown Butter Sauce and a salad.

I, Ben, am going to be Head Chef on this one...

And I, Jerry, am going to be the Head Taster!

And I, Sandy, will be the official Supervisor of Humans cause there is a fair bit of chopping involved...

Righteo then... here are  our ingredients.

One thing I do not like, is that there is so much plastic with these meals...

All these little plastic bags are recyclable but... still!

While the human is chopping,  I will supervise the browning of the hazelnuts...

And getting the tortellini into the water.

There we go...

Being a chef is hard work you know - there are so many moving parts...

Ah, so the carrots have been peel-sliced...

I see you both are doing your jobs... that is good!

 Now we need to brown up the butter and add the garlic and shallots... (shallots are just fancy small onions!)

And then we add the tortellini to the sauce and mix thoroughly!

Get the salad all mixed up...

And voila.... we are fini! Jerry would like it to be known that this meals was "Super yummy!!!"...

    1. Jerry is quite an accomplished taste tester although he could use an apprentice to hand him napkins, etc.
