Christmas Preparations

I have been hounding my sekretary to get our Christmas tree up and decorated... It is a difficult thing! Anyhow, the tree is up, although not decorated. But I need a decorated tree to take a cute picture!

Our fireplace doesn't look all that cute... although these mismatched elf/santa boots are kind of cool.

This is the Advent Calendar. I keep telling Mama there should be honey treats in those little sacks but... there is always just chocolate... sigh.

Oh and this is Spooky... she has her eyes squinched up because of the flash. She loves boxes...

But no cute pics until... I went down to Grampa's place!! I even hung a few decorations of mine. That little white snowflake and felt bear are from Buttons!! Now if only our tree would get decorated...

Oh... this old outfit?? Heh-heh... found it in the Christmas boxes!! Don't I look fetching?

    Looks like you have been busy. The Christmas outfit is very classy, I like the little Starbucks coffee ornament in the background of the last picture. Have you ever thought about petitioning your sekrebeary to put candied salmon in the advent calendar?

      Thanks! I got that ornament for my beary first Christmas! Candied salmon in the Advent Calendar... I think I need to start a petition...

    You look nearly ready for Christmas Sandy! We love the fireplace, so cozy (With some hot chocolate and a plate of cookies, adds Jerry). Do you have any snow yet?

      Almost ready! Snow... hmmm... we had the thinnest covering of snow about a week ago but now it is all melted... might get some more later... We are at +6 C today which is...(mumble mumble)... 6*9/5+32... 42.8F!! Quite warm...

      Oh, we have some already, and it's BEARY cold. We're making more cookies this weekend, then we're done with all of our preparations for Christmas. Does your Mom have enough hot chocolate stored up? Ben always worries about that.

      More cookies!! Wow... Jerry can sure eat a lot! Our tree got decorated this evening (finally)... Mama says hot chocolate is running perilously low... at least it's not the honey that is running low!

      Mmmmm... honey... chocolate... honey... chocolate... Mama says no hot chocolate would be the worst while I definitely think no honey would be the worstest (not worsted... because that's something else entirely!!

      Spooky has tried on Santa hats before but... is not a great fan of them... she frowns when I try to get cute like that...
