Hullo! I am going on a big trip today! Yup... not with Mama either... but with her partner. This was my birthday present if you recall. I am beary excited, especially because I am wearing my new beach outfit!
First, we have to go on a ferry ride... It's a tad cool for a beach outfit, but it's nice and warm in the ferry.
Then we have to take a bus ride...
And finally we are at the airport!! Oh, we're flying Cathay Pacific... I've been on that airline before... they are beary nice!
Oh boy... we are going to Hong Kong first... I have been there too...
That's our plane!! Oh, this is exciting... I can watch where we are the whole way.
See, we're taking off now! And heading north... which is odd, when you think Hong Kong is actually south of where we are but it has something to do with the shape of the earth and Great Circles which are the shortest route between places... uh huh...
*zzz*
Huh? we're already in Hong Kong?? How did that happen??? I must have been a super tired little bear....
And now we are catching a connecting flight to... let's see.. Kuala Lumpur!!! There it is... we have to wait a few hours though.
But not too long... and now we are flying even farther south! I wonder if I will make it across the Equator... I don't think so... but beary close!
And here we are! Wow, it is a big city. Malaysia used to be a British Colony so lots of people here speak English which is beary good...
This is our guesthouse... we are staying here for a few days and then heading out of town... I wonder if my favourite hot chocolate shop has a branch here??
I have to say it is quite hot here... whew... I forgot how hot it can be in the tropics... which can be beary exhausting... I need a nap!
Sandy, have a great time on your trip. I know you will represent us stuffies well in Malaysia. I am off to a cheese factory today, somehow that is not as exciting. Oh well, have a great time, you are one lucky bear!
ReplyDeleteThanks Little Fox!
DeleteForgot to mention, I like your new outfit. Beary patriotic.
ReplyDeleteWell... actually... heh-heh... it's a Hawaii tshirt with a Canada sticker on the front. I've never been to Hawaii so didn't figure I could just wear that... heh-heh...
DeleteOh gosh Sandy, we didn't know that you were leaving so quickly! Jerry and Ben wanted to send an emergency pack of honey and hot chocolate for your trip; that will have to wait for your next trip. Jerry also wanted to send a snowball so that you would have it for Christmas while you were abroad, but Ben informed him that it would melt and then you'd only have a big puddle of water. We look forward to seeing your travel photos!
ReplyDeleteOh that's OK... Mama can accept parcels and the like! And I'm back in time for Christmas! A snowball would have been nice but I think Ben is right... unless of course you sent it in one of those refrigerated transport trucks... then it might make it up here!
DeleteSee, I told you if mamma would vamoose that little bear would find a playmate. Her partner obviously seems friendlier to strange little bears - they don't hide away. Maybe he could come home with Sandy! SMC
ReplyDeleteOooohhhh... do you really think so??? Well... Mama is more introverted of course... hmmm... maybe that is the solution to the Mystery of the Missing Bears! Hmph... As for Sebastian coming home... well.... you'll just to stay tuned! Maybe he wants to go and see Quebec...
