Little bear was promised trees on this "spring" trip... and that requires a hike in the forest (maybe more than one). Having only known misshapen, scrubby trees from flatland, little bear is suitably impressed with these tall, stately trees!
Mind you, being so tall, there isn't a lot growing on the forest floor, as there isn't a lot of sunlight... but little bear is happy that he doesn't have to thrash through a lot of underbrush.
And of course, being a good little hiker means having a backpack in which he can carry a water bottle and a first aid kit (in case something happens). Little bear is pretty proud of his backpack... it fits him perfectly and was only $1.99 at Value Village (little bear is a thrifty bear).
And of course, a hike through the forest (and up a hill) would not be complete without a poop encounter... although these poops are far bigger than the deer poops little bear is used to... these turn out to be moose poops.
And finally... a viewpoint... actually several viewpoints... little bear isn't too sure about climbing any farther up this mountain - his little legs are a bit floppy right now...
But he does get to enjoy the view, even if it is a bit windy and he keeps getting blown over (little bear needs to put on some weight or something)...
But when he can stand in the face of the wind, he does get a great view over the valley...
