More Mail!

Hullo! Sandy Bear hear reporting from the back of Spooky... cause she's in MY chair. I got more mail!

Two things today, which is beary nice.

Cause I donated Bear Blood earlier today... it's nice to be able to sit back and be catered to for a few hours... and read some good mail.

First up, a card from Jerry & Ben. They went to Florida and while their Papa worked, they got to sit by the pool and work on their suntans. Must be nice. Thanks guys!

Ah-hem... wondering if I get to go on any "business" trips soon??? Ohhhh... I DO!!! And where are we going? Somewhere warm and tropical? Um... Prince George and Winterpeg??? In late November and December???? Sigh... I may just pass on those!

Anyhow... an envelope with 2 cards from Little Fox! Oooohh... I like the foxy card - beary fetching. A thank you card for taking Little Fox off to London. Aww... thanks!

And then there's a card for Mama too...

Apparently Little Fox and his roommates are going to be in Vancouver next summer! That would be cool! We could down the Sea to Sky gondola thingie up by Whistler... and go to Britannia Beach mines... and hike Squamish Chief... and take a scamper around Stanley Park... and... hmmm... lots to think about!

And we sign off this post with Spooky... grabbing hold of the camera strap... at least she didn't wiggle too much during the photos!

September Mystery Trip - Part 2

Hello! We are off on an adventure today... to my favourite lake.

It's just down there... let's go!

After a cuddle of course...

Isn't it gorgeous? So calm and peaceful... and cold.

I should have brought a fishing rod for salmon...

We could have roasted it over the driftwood fire.

Oooh... what's that on the beach?

Icky... it's a dead salmon!

I hope I didn't miss the salmon run. Rose was here a few weeks before me and the run was in full swing...

Ick again.

And there's another one here...

And another one in the water. This is not a good sign!

But there's also something out there... what is it?

It's a duck!! But if you look closely, not a real duck, just a decoy.

Here's the little creek. If the salmon were running... we'd see them here. Not a single one. Sigh.

But it's still a nice day.

So a little bear can't be too heartbroken.

Warm sand, beautiful location.

Maybe we can find salmon somewhere else?

September Mystery Trip - Part 1

Good morning! Sooooo... I had so many adventures this Fall that some are a bit backlogged. Back in September (!) I woke up here... it looks like the airport! I wonder where we're going?

It's a gorgeous morning though...

Ooohhh... beautiful coastal islands. I can't see any salmon runs though.

This is Vancouver! Maybe I'm going on an International Adventure?

Now... to find the connecting flight... maybe a 767?

Perhaps I need a new hat or something? These surprise trips mean I never get to pack my own clothes.

OK... not a 767...

But that's OK... any adventure is a good adventure.

Bye bye Vancouver...

Hmmm... we're flying north, over the Coastal Mountains... they sure are beautiful.

Beautiful glacier!

And... we're here! Except we're not... the airport is under that Fog Blob... we knew that it was there leaving Vancouver, but they thought it might be cleared off by the time we arrived. It wasn't.

So we flew around in circles for a while south of there. Great mountain and inlet views.

Finally... after more than an hour... we're going in!! I can see the lake... that's a good sign.

Once we landed... it's pretty pea-soupy down there... and where are we???

We're at Gramma's!!!!

Oh boy... wonder what she's got in the fridge... I smell salmon!

And then there's the treat cupboard...

Oooh... a stack of Ritter Sport.

Excuse me... can I have some privacy here??

More Mail!

I got more mail!!! Can you tell who it's from?? The fleur-d-lis in the corner should give you a hint. It's from Jerry & Ben!

Something mysterious though... while they had written Canada on one side of the envelope, with the address...

Somebody had put Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the customs declaration thingie! Hmmmm... no wonder it was a bit slower than normal.

Silly postal people!

Anyhow... it's an envelope stuffed with treats! stickers, candy, a badge and a couple of cool felt coasters in the shape of maple leafs... those are good. And some peppermints in a beary cool tin and... cute little polar bear gift tags? book marks?? hmmm...
