Hello Folks!! Today we are pleased to present the Sun Bathing competition in the 2021 Stuffie Olympics!! Given the extreme water barreling event, our athletes seem to have opted for a safer, and drier, event this time! Let's have a word with our competitors.
"Just that I'm really looking forward to this event! I still feel like my bum is wet!"
"Just seconding what Cocoa said... my bare bear bum is a bit damp! Looking forward to finally drying off..."
And Otto... are you looking forward to drying off?
"Nope... us otters love the water! I am looking forward to a snooze though..."
Alright... here we go... our athletes are on their beach towels... getting into position. The trick here is getting the sand contoured just right under various body parts...
Cocoa's doing a butt wiggle here, making a little hollow for himself...
And looks like Otto is almost ready to go here...
And... it looks like the athletes are ready. This event is an early morning event... don't want to do it in the heat of the day, you know... And... I think... yes... here we go!
They're down!!! But... wait... where is the sun going?
Oh dear, the sun is going behind a cloud bank!! But it's OK folks, our athletes have trained for this... they just have to have some patience...
Patience... it's moving...
And... we're almost back in business!
There we go! Oh look, Sandy has pulled out the sunglasses. Smart bear that one...
Cocoa looks like he's well into it now...
And... is that a snore we hear from Otto???
Excellent first half of this competition... Now, they just have to rotate...
And there we go... Sandy's drying out his behind now...
As is Cocoa... interesting tail position there...
Otto's over as well... we were a bit concerned that his nap might have left him on his back for too long but... he's an attentive stuffie and heard the half-time whistle!
And... back onto their fronts for the final exit... Well done athletes!!! We'll have to wait and see if any of our competitors medal in this event...
In the meantime... enjoy this view of a sunrise...

ReplyDeleteHmmm... posture, form, evenness.... its a tough sport to judge!
ReplyDeleteThis seems like a good event for slow and slower, although they are probably banned from competing since they judged the rowing competition.
