Well... I have some happy news to report this week (after months of sad news... losing Daisy the Dog, losing Grampa, losing Sassy the Cat). Rose and her family have adopted a pair of 9 month old cats (sisters)... Let me introduce them...
This is Luna and Phoenix... The little tortoiseshell is Luna... and the ginger one is Phoenix. Let me see if I can get better pics...
There we go... this is Luna... she has beary orange eyes!! She is a mischievous little munchkin (kind of like Rascal was)...
And this is Phoenix... she apparently has grey markings on her face which make her look kind of sooty... hence the name Phoenix... Can't wait to meet them in the fur!
How many adventures can a Bearista Bear have in a year or two? Quite a few it turns out!

Spring Flowers Surprise
Hello... in our last post, we were hunting for wild flowers and... found a bunch of rogue cultivated flowers! But we stuck with it and... voila... a trillium!
They are beary pretty...
Oh look... the fawn lilies are out...
This is one of my favourites...
And here... we have wild bleeding hearts... or Pacific Bleeding Hearts...
Beary pretty... see, we just needed to persist and keep our eyes on the ground.
Uhhhh... is that snow?
Noooo... it can't be! We had a hail storm the other day... but surely it's all melted by now?
Oh wow... quite the accumulation of...
Can you tell what they are?
They are pale pink and... (Ajdin, you should know this!)...
Oh wow... cherry blossoms!
This is a really, really nice strip of them.
So pretty.
But not that great for photo ops...
But... wow... just wow.
Hmmm... different perspective.
We are both glad we got our eyes off the ground and looked up.
Do you have cherry blossoms where you live?

Spring Flowers!
Little Fox is an aspiring botanist who is beary interested in wild flowers... so we went out for an early morning flower hunt!
Hmmm... this isn't a flower but... it sure looks weird.
We think it's a big fluffy rosette of thistle leaves... although it could be a triffid too!
Nice farm fence but... where are the flowers?
Creek is flowing well... lots of rain lately...
Which is good for the plants... green leaves!
And then we found this... it looks like an abstract painting... but is algae in the water!
Cool...
Kind of mesmerizing...
But still no flowers...
Oh here we go!! This is Oregon Grape which is kind of appropriate since Little Fox is from Oregon.
It's beary pretty... and the berries do make an excellent jelly.
Ahhh daffodils... they grow wild along the highways and byways... so we're counting them....
Cute!!!
And beary pretty...
Sometimes stuffies just need to stop and check out the flowers.
Hmmm... this one is interesting...
But we don't think it's a wild flower either...
We think it's a quince bush...
Ah, here we go... but after more research, these are Glory in the Snow which is a bulb introduced to BC! Eesh...
We do have to note that it was quite cool this morning... there was even frost on some of the leaves.
Ah, flowers... Magnolia... not wild either.
Nor is this forsythia bush... but it sure is pretty...

Happy Easter!!
Happy Easter everyone!!! We have all dressed up to welcome the Easter Bunny to our house...
We each got a little basket of chicks... soo cute.
Little Fox has some great ears...
Ummm... I think Easter Bunny has been snacking while delivering Easter eggs... just sayin'...
And... oh look... an Easter basket with some treats... or rather... "a" treat.
Actually... two treats... how are we going to divvy this up? One big hollow candy Easter egg and one small solid candy Easter egg...
Sooo... we could go... big Easter egg to big stuffie and little egg to little stuffie?
Little Fox thinks this may not be entirely fair as despite the fact that he is "little", he has a big appetite.
Right Sandy??? And Sandy seems to be a bit... portly after winter... perhaps a switch is in order...
Much better...
