Sandy met some very impressive women today! He was just wandering the streets of downtown, looking for an adventure, and he found one.
This lady held Sandy for a while so that he could get a good view of everyone else.
Sandy got a bit of a cuddle from this one... she looks like a nice grandma type!
And this one... this one was having tea!! Oh my goodness... tea with honey probably! "Can I have some??" asked Sandy.
Sure enough... there were some extra tea cups on a little table, so Sandy joined the ladies. They seemed very fixated on two other women.
These two women were holding up something, which was hard to read because the sun was in the wrong place... but...
With a bit of squinting and some help from Mama, Sandy learned that the women were celebrating an October 18, 1929 (a beary long time ago) pronouncement that said... women are persons!
"Yay!" cried Sandy, in between slurps of tea. And maybe someday little bears will get their own pronouncement!
Oh what fun!!! Your very own Tea Party!!!! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteYes... you never know when you might come across a Tea Party!
ReplyDeleteTea is especially good with honey! Jerry says it's even better with cookies!
ReplyDeleteI like those statues!
ReplyDelete@Jerry and Ben - I have to say... I am not a big fan of tea. Honey, yes. Hot chocolate, yum!! But tea?? Peppermint tea is OK (especially with honey!) but other tea... as Sullivan says... "meh!"...
ReplyDelete@Hammie - yes, the look like Gramma's and Oma's!
ReplyDeleteWell Ben does like tea sometimes, Jerry mostly likes honey on crackers and juice, and Papa only drinks coffee; we all have hot chocolate in the winter. Honey tea is nice if you're not feeling well, it opens up your nose; peppermint tea is esp. nice when we have tummy aches.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... honey tea... never heard of that before! I must spend more time in the tea aisle.
