Rainy Afternoon

Hullo! Today we are going to have some fun on the beach! Otto found a ball...

We have a net...

And it's time for a friendly game of volleyball!

Otto served and... the ball nicked the net... would it make it across?

Nope... it got hung up...

My serve...

The ball made it over the net and Otto is sending it back!

But I managed a nice block... and back and forth it went until...

The rain came! Sigh...

But that's OK... we got to have a drink and bundle up...

So we could lay scrabble... Otto's letters aren't bear good...

Nor are mine for that matter... three A's? Really??

After several drinks, we were all beary cheerful... even Rose who was limited to strawberry daiquiris (without alcohol of course!).

Finally.... we finished the game of scrabble and had some fun... Little Bear and Otto at the Beach!

Otto and I had a brainstorm and we both approached our respective humans and after much gazing from stuffie eyes we won out!

Otto got to come over to our room for a sleep-over! Cool!!

Surprise Visitors!

Good morning! It's another fine day in Mexico...

But Mama said there would be a surprise today...

Is it another towel animal? Cause I've seen a few of those since I got here...

 Not sure what this one was supposed to be?

I think this one is a bear? But Mama said it wasn't a towel animal...

It's Rose!!! Cool!

And Rose bought one of her stuffie pals! Everyone, meet Otto... he's an Otter! River otter apparently... not sea otter... so he's not going in the water here!

Hi Otto!

I had to introduce Otto to the idea of sunscreen... cause it is beary sunny down here...

Boy... with that long tail, Otto has a lot of surface area to cover in sunscreen!

But finally we can relax on our beach blankets and enjoy the sun.

Rose tried to make a couple of hammocks for us but... this one was a bit short for me...

And way too narrow for Otto....

So she tried a double hammock made from a sarong but... it was too flimsy. Oh well!

We thought we could build a sand castle...

We helped Rose by supervising but... she thought she should supervise sooo...

 We ended up having to get to work!

Collecting bits of coral and sea shells that had washed up...

And decorating the castle...

Whew... can we rest now?? Rose sure is a taskmaster! I'm pooped!!

Actually... we all were! So that's good... we can all nap for a while!

First Day in Mexico

Ahhhh.... holiday! The sunrises here are gorgoues.

I was at this resort in 2012 as well... it was a 3 star resort back then, but they've ramped up their game and it's now a 5 star! They've added some infinity pools down there and bed loungers...

Plus a jacuzzi on every balcony! Cool!

The beach is still beary beautiful... and there are sea turtles out there.

I'm going to chill for a while...

And just enjoy the view...

But... soon enough it's time for a break...

And some cold drinks...

After more beach lounging, it's time for lunch... Life is rough out here...

Their buffet is much better than last time...

Do you see that? Smoked Salmon!!! Every day! Oh my goodness... I think I'm in heaven!

Another Trip!

Hullo... as you can tell, I've been on the go a lot... which is what happens when you say "I'm a bored bear"... holy moly... I was snooping in the fridge looking for a snack and... this is what I found.

Plus... Rascal looks beary cranky. She doesn't like suitcases...

What a minute... suitcases? Empty fridge? Unhappy cat? I think we are we going on yet another trip!

Yep... apparently we are... first a ferry ride...

It's a rainy, cold day out there...

And finally... the airport...

Let's see... where are we going? Well... first off, we are in the International Terminal! Oooohhhh.... let's see.... Ixtapa, Cancun, Los Cabos, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing...

I'm guessing it's either Mexico or Asia!

Heh-heh... I am dressed for a holiday! The airport is dressed for Chinese New Year... maybe we're going to China?

I think I'll snoop around a bit more... but... I ended up falling asleep in Mama's backpack and...

Whoa... we're already high up in the air and... is that Sunwing wing-tip I see?? Sunwing, Sunwing.... Does Sunwing fly to China???

***A few hours later***
Can you guess where we are???

Yes!!! It's Mexico!!! Cancun and then a long bus ride and... Akumal Beach Resort! Oh goodie... I sooooo need a holiday!
