It's across the highway... I hope there aren't any wolves in there...
Oh, nice. The coastal rainforest walk is on a boardwalk!
That's all French to me!
They have been working on replacing pieces of the boardwalk, which is nice.
But then you get old bits as well.
There are interpretive displays that tell you about forest life...
I like this one!! That's a lot of rain... and a lot of wind!
Some lush deer fern...
And seriously big trees!! Like... seriously big.
Oh, look at that... Muskoka chairs for tree watching!
The cedar is the tree of life...
And this one was born around 1300 A.D. It is beary, beary old.
I'm going to sit and gaze at it for a while and soak up some ancient tree energy.
I'm not going to go further into this log though... there might be creepy critters in there.
Let's go!
Beautiful! But wait, you have no snow there... Jerry says we could send you some, we have a lot of it.
ReplyDeleteJerry, you can keep your snow in the Midwest. Probably best to do that anyway with Karl visiting and all.
DeleteNo no... Canada ships snow to the US... not the other way around!
DeleteThat tree is beary tall! How cool!
ReplyDeleteIt is... must be a cool view from up there.
DeleteWhat a great day for a trip. Those Adirondack chairs look really comfy.
ReplyDeleteThey were beary comfy. Such a good trip.
