Beach Vacation - Day 3

Well, hello... we are back at the beach again today. Once again, the weather is amazing!

There are so many cool things at the beach...

Like me!!

Seaweed and shells and rocks...

That rock kind of looks heart-shaped...

That shell is almost see-through...

It was sooo nice, we even had a picnic lunch! Let's see... peppers, tomatoes, hummus, fruit...

 And candied salmon!!! Mmmm....

Hmmm... didn't see a dog on the beach... do you think those might be wolf tracks???

oooh... surfers!!!

Maybe I should consider learning how to surf?? There are lots of surf shops here... We are heading off on another adventure... so much to see here...

I wonder if this crosswalk leads to salmon?

This is a nice sheltered bay..

 Where we could get some nice sunset photos...

But we went a little farther along the Wild Pacific Trail (not the same as the epic West Coast Trail).

There's a lighthouse here! Ooohh... looks like the waves can get pretty crazy.

The first lighthouse, built in 1906 was destroyed by winter storms in 1914... it was replaced in 1915 with the current bunker-like lighthouse.

No storm is going to knock that lighthouse down!
