A picnic lunch AND a backpack! With no advance warning that we are included... we decided to take a page out of Little Fox's book.
Ben led the way... "I'm going in!" Jerry and I then followed... After much tossing and moving...
We knew we had made the right decision! We found ourselves on the beach!
Heh-heh... this big old cedar is a great little bear hiding spot!
"Psst... Sandy... which way is Ben coming?"
"I heard that!" said Ben, as we played ring-a-round the tree for a while!
We were gone!! (Well, not really... can you see my sandals?)
Heh-heh... these are perfect caves for little bears... Ooooh.... we could call ourselves the Cave Bears!
Naturally, there was a lunch stop. It looks like a beary healthy lunch...
We also found these weird indentations in the rock...
Hmmm... my sandals don't fit into them...
"Nor do my sneakers", said Jerry.
"But my bare bear paws fit perfectly!!! You know what that means. We think we've discovered a fossilized migration track for prehistoric Little Cave Bears! This might even have been a former colony. Or... it could have been a Cave Bear dance floor too."
There were lots of them!!
What a great day... we saw ferries sale by...
There was even a deer!
But... all good things must come to an end. sigh...
Soon Jerry and Ben have to go home... like, very soon. I think they had a good time though... "Oh yes!!!" squealed Ben. "Absolutely!" giggled Jerry. "And we have lots and lots of ideas to take home to Papa!"
Maybe it's like the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, where all the stars put their handprints/pawprints?...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great outing! That is a lot of sand dollars! It's hard to find sand dollars that aren't broken!
ReplyDeletePapa: what a fantastic trip! Jerry and Ben don't get to see the ocean very often, just great big lakes, so they must have been very excited!
