Given that we really only have two seasons - wet and dry, trying to find fall colours is kind of hard... Things that were in low lying moist areas are still green...
The apples are ready though....
And the creeks are running high.
Ah-hah!!! A blackberry leaf that is showing some nice fall plummage.
Mmmm.... blackberries!
This oak tree looks like it's my best bet for fall colours...
If you look beary closely, you can see some nice reds showing up.
But that's pretty much as good as it gets here.
Sandy bear signing off from Brownsville!
Our fall colors are coming in as well. It's a little odd, the summer sun is still hanging around.
ReplyDeleteYes, we've had some nice sunny days too - although the last few days have seen quite a bit of rain. It is getting a tad chilly at night too.
Deletemmm.. those blackBEARries look beary good! I am coming over to help you pick them!
ReplyDeleteAlas, the late season ones are kind of sour - not enough sunshine. But... I do have some blackbeary liqueur that I could share with some pals...
DeleteBeautiful colors! All those apples got Ben thinking about apple sauce, apple cake, apple pie, and more! Jerry says he's sure Sandy and he would help to taste test.
ReplyDeleteYup... we are making apple sauce! I, of course, will be the designated taste tester... too bad Jerry can't come to help me with that!
DeleteSome nice red leaves there! So far nothing very impressive in the northeastern U.S...
