Beach Bear

Hullo!! Today was another fantastic day for an outing. It might look like we went to a desert... but it was really a beach that goes out a looooooonnnngggg way at low tide!

This beach has lots of sand dollars at low tide... we didn't got all the way out but did find a broken sand dollar.

Cool!

There are lots of cool ripple marks in the sand.

Whew... finally made it to a patch of water! The tide was coming in so we had to scamper back a bit.

Then it was time to sit on the shore and catch some sunshine. Of course, I am a little perpetual-motion bear so... kept my eye out for some neat photo ops.

And here is one of them! Isn't this a super cool piece of driftwood log?

It has a beary interesting weathering pattern...

And it is such a neat grey colour too.

I bet Hammie would love taking pictures like this too... Hammie loves taking beach pictures!

I also found a beary strange object in the beach sand, with all the little seashells. Anybody want to guess what it is??

It's an operculum!! Hmmm... some seashells have little doors that cover their openings, to protect the occupant. So this is a seashell door! Best guess based on shape and size is a Moon Shell operculum.
