I was playing Go Fish today with Griz. Call it procrastination on the nanowrimo writing front! Playing cards is beary hard for little bears because our arms are so short, but we manage it. Griz has been quite grumpy lately because he is getting bored with his wardrobe. No kidding...
As we were grumbling about the limited little bear clothing options, a lightbulb flickered on in my head. "Wait a minute!"...
I ran off leaving Griz wondering what had happened... Were we done playing cards?
"Look Griz!! This is the spare red coat that Jerry & Ben sent to me! I already have a red coat but... maybe we could trade!"
Griz was game for this and so... with a bit of little bear squirming and muffled grunts...
We traded coats!
Griz is beary happy with his new red puffy coat. He is an older bear and doesn't like the damp west coast climate at all!! He will be nice and warm in this red coat...
And me... well... I think I rather look like a bear version of James Dean (without the cigarette, because smoking is bad for little bear lungs). I is so suave... and debonair... and well... just plain handsome! (Mama is rolling her eyes at little bear egos!)
Pretty nice jackets. I am trying to get my owners to buy me custom outfits from Vietnam as well. Debbi just stared at me blankly but I knew what she was thinking "foxes don't need outfits"
ReplyDeleteWow that red coat does look great on Griz! You look super chic in the leather coat too Sandy! Now, if there was only a motorcycle your size, you'd be super cool, just like the Fonz!
ReplyDelete@Little Fox - Thanks! That's a common problem... humans think us little stuffies don't need outfits. You could always get your owners to sew you something??
ReplyDelete@Jerry & Ben - Ah yes, The Fonz... forgot about him! I should go out and lounge around a soda bar and see what attention I get...
Just proves Sandy, where there is a will, there's a way! A bear clothing exchange, For a minute there, I thought maybe you and Griz were gambling for each other's coats. ;)
ReplyDeleteOh, we've also seen and heard a whole bunch of those Canadian tourists flying south over us. We hope they didn't get caught in the snow storm we're having. We told a couple of them to say hello from us when they return up north next spring, so when you hear "honk! .....honk, honk, honk" that means "Hello! from Jerry Ben"
ReplyDelete@Buttons - Yes!! There was a way... and now I have a cool leather jacket and Griz can warm his old bones with the red puffy coat. Little bears don't gamble over coats... maybe over honey... but not over coats!
ReplyDelete@Jerry & Ben - Really?? I haven't seen any of them here really! I think we must be off the main flight path. And apparently some of them over-winter in Vancouver, so maybe that's where the flight path is? But I'll say "Hello" to any that I do see!
We see BIG flocks of those tourists, they fly in the shape of a V, and sometimes there must be a hundred of them. Ben is sure they sometimes say, "honk, eh?" so he knows they are Canadian, hehe
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that they would be a perfect size for a little bear to hitch a ride on! But they never stay still long enough for me to jump on their backs... and of course they don't have seat belts either... But a little bear can dream... it would be a great way to come and visit my pals!
ReplyDeleteThat coat looks very good on you.
ReplyDeleteWe will have to arrange for a visit sometime!!
ReplyDelete@Sullivan - Thanks! It's nice to wear something different every once in a while.
ReplyDelete@Jerry & Ben - Vancouver (Canada... not WA) is beary beautiful dans le printemps!
Eeeeeeeeeeey - you look like the Fonz to me - nice jacket - and nice job of sharing.
ReplyDelete@JoAnn - Oooohhh...do I really? You're the third person to tell me that! I is a little Fonzie Bear!
