Hike along Sea Shore (Mexico!)

Editor's Note: Catching up on blog posts that didn't get posts once Sandy started hibernating

Sooo... where was I??? Oh yes!! Mexico!! I know... soooo long ago... I left off on this blog post

We went for a walk along the beach and came across these ancient cannons.

The cool thing, is those blogs are made out of big chunks of brain-coral... very unique.

Navy knows a bit about cannons so gave us a bit of a lesson. Biggest point... don't stand in front of the muzzle!

Otto had some good questions about how cannoneers avoid hitting otters in the water (it's pure luck). Otto was less than pleased...

We wandered along the coast a bit and came across these ruined condos/houses. They've been here for years and are getting more dilapidated with each passing year.

They have beary nice views though...

But right now, all they are used for is graffiti artist canvases.

We found a wrecked boat up on the shore as well...

Navy had some ideas about us going boating but... seriously... there's no way anyone is carrying this boat down to the water!

But there are some pretty plants down here.

More strange graffiti...

That looks like a space-alien ant!

We had a wander down close to the shore and... well... it was a bit wet down there!

Not to mention very windy!!

There is lots of garbage strewn along the beach, stuff that gets washed up from boats... probably... beary sad.

None of us have any interest in this fixer-upper!

Not even with this cool pizza oven...

See the mosaic lizard?

Well... those are words to live by!

And more graffiti... although Navy's ear is hiding...

Heh-heh... hiding what???

Somebody's behind... sigh... graffiti artists!

And a weird turtle...

Finally... a beary old rusted anchor!

Navy totally enjoyed this little walk... lots of "navy-ish" stuff to share!
