It seems it has been appropriated by a black bandit!
Alrighty then... I'll just work with her!
As I was saying, I got mail... this time from Ajdin... but it is an envelope, not a postcard. Beary mysterious (do I need a costume change into my Sherlock Sandy outfit).
Ajdin usually stamps his with his little rocket ship stamp thingie... but this time he just drew a little picture...
Huh... it's a newspaper clipping... from the Wall Street Journal. Hmmm... I'm thinking this might be an Uncle Tibb's subscription... Ajdin doesn't strike me as a WSJ bear... although... he is running for Stuffie President... so you never know. Anyhow....
Hmmm... it's an article/advertisement about ovarian cancer...
Ummm... Ajdin... you do know I'm a boy bear, right?? Mama is rolling her eyes and suggested that I turn over the newspaper... ah... good idea!
Except Spooky is moving and... oof... urk!!!
OK... this is not working!
Peace at last... hmmm... it's a full page article about salmon up in Campbell River!!
It sense "Anyone can fish for salmon in Vancouver Island's Campbell River"... Sandy wants to know if this is for real. He has helpfully highlighted all of the salmon references...
What's the quote... "Yes Virginia... there is a Santa Claus"? Oh well... Yes Ajdin, all you need is a fishing license and you can go fishing for salmon!
And... between September 1 and October 20, you can watch grizzlies (and other bears) feast on salmon... that's when the salmon are running and spawning in the local rivers (not just Campbell River).
Hmmm... maybe I should offer a Fall Salmon Viewing Tour??
The outfit looks great! There may be a large party of stuffy bears fishing for salmon this year! hehe
ReplyDeleteNo kidding. I will have to go check on some of the local rivers.
DeleteWay to keep law and order Sandy! Have you heard of this cartoon character, by any chance?
ReplyDeletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dudley_Do-Right
My roommates remember Dudley.
DeleteUmm... nope... but I do know that there is a lego-like Mountie figure out there!
DeleteYou have to go. My roommates have wanted to go up to North Vancouver Island to see the bears for many years. Now that there is salmon up there too, count me in.
ReplyDeleteThere you go... we have it all... salmon, bears, eagles, water, forests, whales, oceans, berries and... chicken!
DeleteOh wow that's awesome and would be pretty cool to see. If you ever do decide to run a tour one year let our brother Ozzie Quirkybear know he'd love to go!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I'll have to get my act together I think!
DeleteI'M COMING WITH YOU ON THIS SALMON TOUR
ReplyDeleteSeriously?? Ummm... do I need to get cracking and organize a tour?!!
DeleteSomeone in our house, who shall rename nameless, had to go on a fast work event near Niagara Falls, didn't bother taking us, but, walked over the border, right into Tim Horton's, and had the nerve to text us little bears photos of the goodies that were ordered and consumed. We are protesting.
ReplyDeleteNO!! He didn't??!!! Oh... that is scandalous... a strike is definitely in order. Maybe he's bringing you back a box of Tim Bits??
