Handy Sandy reveals... the Finished Lean-to/Lean-from/Lean-on/Lean-off

Hallo!! Finally... some pictures of the finished product... But first... a message from our sponsors...

We have some lovely purple irises who just wanted to say hello and stick their tongues out... silly flowers!

And now... the finished roof! We went with the wavy plastic stuff (grrr...). Cheaper but annoying to put up.

But it does the trick... keeps the rain off...

And now the lean-to is full of a tad more than 1/2 cord of firewood.

That's all folks... Sandy Bunyan signing off here...

  2. That's a lot of wood!! Did you have to split all those logs yourself?...

    1. It was quite a bit of wood! We got it from a friend who had cut down a cedar tree. Of course I didn't split the wood... although I did supervise my humans splitting it. There was a lot of grunting, muttering and even a few swear words. Mama kept saying that "we need a splitting maul"!

  3. Do they make splitting mauls and axes in your size?

    1. I don't believe so, which is beary unfortunate. You would think manufacturers would have clued into the demand by now! But that's OK, I more often that not function as supervisor so only need a splitting maul for my humans...

    2. I think stores should have a stuffy division. You know, like a kids section in the department store, except it's stuff specifically designed for stuffys. Hmm, I could use a coffee pot, bakeware, and gardening items specifcally designed for me.

    3. That's a beary good idea... with different sizes of course, for little stuffies like Spunk... er... like Hammie and Beanie and yourself. And then for medium stuffies like Ben, Jerry and myself and then for larger bears like Ajdin and Ryan.

  4. Looks great Sandy! Your flowers are way ahead of ours...Ben wouldn't let Jerry look at the flower photos because, well, he gets a little upset that your growing season is so far ahead.

    1. I saw you had basil already growing outside - we still have ours sheltering in a little hot house.

  5. Oh yes! And then the humans sat the next day and admired it from all angles... humans are strange sometimes. I keep campaigning for chickens but... not yet apparently.
