Whew!! We made it!! There was a tight flight connection in Vancouver (and no time for a Starbucks hot chocolate)... and very low clouds when we landed here - but... we are here!
First thing - a little tour of Gramma's front flower garden. I thought there might be snow here but... clearly I was wrong.
These are Hens and Chicks in the ground - I've never seen such healthy ones! Gramma says they do really really well in good soil.
The scarlet runner beans did well too - probably because they had bees pollinating them!
After the garden tour, I was put to work... Gramma has a storage unit and...
She wants some help putting up a shelf in it...
It took a while but... I supervised beary well and we did a great job!
After all that heavy-duty supervising work... we came back for some lunch. I hope there is some salmon in my future... There was this nice painting of a salmon...
Ah-hah!!! I knew it!!! Smoked salmon... yum!!!!
I am drooling already...
Oh... and there is dessert too!!! I am such a lucky bear.
Dessert is under here... is it?? could it be???
It is!!! Bluebeary pie... oh yummm...
Oh... and a picture of a little lady-bug for a certain Hamster friend...
I am pretty full from the salmon but... a little bear has to do what a little bear has to do - it would be rude to reject a piece of bluebeary pie!
My visit to Gramma's place is off to a great start!
A garden tour, salmon, PIE!, and hammie bugs! What a great Grandma you have Sandy! We want to come and visit her! hehe
ReplyDeleteI know!!! She definitely knows the way to a little bear's heart!
DeleteYou are such a lucky bear. The salmon and pie make up skipping hot chocolate in Vancouver. Whenever my roommates go to our gramma's house we have to clean her storage unit and usually take all of our stuff home :)
ReplyDeleteDid you get another pin? I recognize the one from Jerry and Ben but don't recognize the new one.
Oh yes... storage rooms... Mama had to take her stuff home eons ago!
DeleteThat pin is from Beanie! It is one of those red-double-decker buses from London.
My roommates had to take their stuff a while back but every time we visit there always seems to be MORE to take....ughh There is something to be said for being a little fox with a non-existent wardrobe.
Deletei like visiting my grandma's house too. there is always lots of good food there! that salmon and pie look beary delicious!
ReplyDeleteGramma's are the best!
DeleteShould you need help eating any yummy pies, Jerry kindly volunteers to help out.
ReplyDeleteI thought he would! Unfortunately, the pie did not last beary long... Gramma says that was her last batch of bluebearies (it was a bad year for them apparently).
DeleteLittle Fox volunteers as well.
DeleteI know!! I thought you would like the ladybug. Mama had another stone ladybug in purple and green but... those are not REAL ladybug colours!
