Mail!!!

Hullo! Today Mama was feeling a bit better and went out and got me something from Tim Horton's... I wonder what it is??

Ohhhh... a honey dip donut!!!

***Nom nom nom****... they are the best!!!

And... if a donut wasn't enough... there was mail too! A package from Jerry & Ben.

I wonder what's in here... it smells like chocolate!

Wow!!! It was my Halloween pumpkin contest prize!!! Look at all that great stuff! A cute card from them... and round chocolates that look like pumpkins... a bit-o-honey... and some stickers... and popcorn and more chocolate and... bacon gumballs??? No... really?? They taste like bacon?? Hmmm... I think it MUST be artificial bacon flavour just cause... you know... ***stage whisper*** Sullivan McPig might not like "real" bacon gumballs!

Thanks guys!!! And thanks for hosting the contest too!!

Pumpkin Picture Time

Little Fox did a posting on trying to take a picture with Sequoia... and lamented the fickleness of animals in photos. Here's a few outtakes/bloopers from our pumpkin pictures... sigh... fickle cats!

No Spooky... face the camera!

Sit up please!

Rascal!! Photo-bombing the photo-shoot...

And scaring Spooky away...

Cat in motion...

No... camera is not on the ceiling...

Er, hello.. pumpkin not edible.

Nothing edible on the floor either!

Why are you licking your chops?

Seriously, why?

Oh dear...

Good enough....

Visitors from Calgary and an Outing

Well... this is an adventure from... September!!! That never got posted on time sooo... since "someone" is still using tishooes at an alarming rate and has cotton between her ears... let's post this!

************

Whoo-hoo!! Today we have visitors from Calgary and we are off on an outing. I wonder where we are going?

Ohhh... I know this little boat! We are going to my favourite island!

It is a gorgeous sunny day - perfect weather.

This is the island that used to have an old pulp-stone quarry. These things look like huge Lifesaver candies.

Hmmm... that sure is a weird tree branch that grew in a big loop!

It seems to be a day for holes!

And a day for soaking up some sunshine.

These rocks sure look cool.

There was an eagle watching from a tree so I didn't stray too far from Mama... he might have swooped down and scooped me up!

I like being by the water - you see all sorts of neat things.

These people were practising dragon-boat racing.

We walked up one side of the island and then cut across to the other side, through the forest. The sun made beautiful patterns through the mist.

And on the seaward side of the island, the mist had become fog!

It is not a sunny day over here...

I thought we could camp out under this beach shelter but Mama said I would be on my own.

There are neat things to find on beaches... like this old chain bolted to a piece of wood.

The leaves here really don't do colours too well - they go from green to burn brown with maybe a bit of yellow in between.

And another hole!

Heh-heh... a perfect spot for a little bear to do his business!

Some of the leaves from these old maples sure are big!

As we headed back down the island towards the little ferry boat, we came out of the fog and saw the sun again.

It was weird to be on the edge of sun and fog.

A mysterious place where you might expect mysterious things to happen.

I saw another beach shelter but other than that, nothing mysterious happened.

Mama took this cool shot of a totem pole...

But a little dog crashed the shot of the other totem pole!!

Back Home!!

We are home!!! I am going to stay in my pajamas for a day or two... First thing though is to catch up on some mail. It seems like I've been gone for eons! And some of the mail came before we left but never got posted...

First up, a postcard from Little Fox! It looks beary beautiful where he was...

And then a card from Ajdin! I wonder if he played in any cornmazes?

Then an envelope from Little Fox...

With a note on the back that says we should get together in Vancouver (BC not WA!) some day - that would be cool!!

That's a pretty bearthday card - he says it reminded him of our garden. Thanks Little Fox!

And another enveloped from... can you guess??

See... the S is for Sandy and the balloons mean it's a beathday card...

And on the back... there's Jerry & Ben!! One of them is looking a little pudgy in the face... I wonder if Jerry's been preparing for winter hibernation?

With another bearthday card!! Thanks guys!!

And finally... a card from Ajdin!!

With a cute fishy on the front... I think it might be a salmon!

Heh-heh! Thanks!! It's actually from Ajdin, Uncle Tibbs and Oogie!! Thanks guys!

And now... I have to be a tisshoo isshooer... Mama came back home and promptly got a nasty sinus and ear infection... I can barely keep up with the tisshoes!

Whew... time for a break with Spooky!
