Road Trip

Well, a few days ago... maybe as much as 2 weeks ago... we landed back in Canada. It was a bit of culture shock from SE Asia!! And our time-tables were completely turned upside down. Which does have an upside to it! I got to get up and go see the sunrise over Vancouver...

It was beary beautiful...

And beary quiet... so quiet here!!

Mind you... 5 am in Vancouver is a lot chillier than 5 am in Hanoi! Brrr... where are my mitts and mukluks???

Oh hey... do you see those??

They are blackberries just getting ready! Mmmm... blackberry jelly... yum!

That's a weird little boat... almost looks like a little bear head or something.

And then there was another plane ride... but only a short one... the mountains are super beautiful and look... there is snow down there!! Oh, definitely might need my winter gear!

Or maybe not! We're at the beach again... ahhh...

Different than the beaches in the Far East but the water is so clean and clear here...

And I even managed to balance my way back off the log! I am such a well-balanced little bear...

Ta-dah!!! And I didn't fall off and get wet!

It's beary nice to have some quiet time here on the Canadian lakes...

Time to make a beach fire...

And soak up the peace and quiet!

Of course, we have to get going again eventually... Originally, we were going to do a cross-Canada road trip but... not going to happen this year. So we are doing a cross-BC tour enroute to home... These are canola fields...

And this is some drier terrain (with sage brush) down south...

And finally a ferry ride! Whew... more pics as I have time to take them... now where is that camera again??
