Meet Jacques... the Bee Keeper... and... a secret surprise.

WARNING - HONEY ALERT!!!

While we were in Winterpeg... and knowing how irate I would be about not getting out into the snow... Mama headed me off at the pass with a blatant bribe...

Meet Jacques... he is an honest-to-goodness real-life bee-keeper and... he brought Mama a huge pot of honey from his bees. Like a big yogurt container full of creamy, delicious. organic, prairie-fresh honey... (that container is his spare one... he had two... but we only got one. I can't imagine why Mama didn't take both!!!)

Are you ready to see some it???

WARNING - SEVERE HONEY ALERT!!!

Alright then... don't say I didn't warn you!

Are you 100% sure????

OK... here it is! Mmmm... looks good, huh?

Oh... there we go... digging into that golden goodness.

Oh my goodness....

I'm sorry... but I have to go now!

How long can it take one little bear to eat a whole pot of honey?

The 2018 Stuffie Winter Olympics!!

Hello! I am here today representing Canada at the 2018 Stuffie Winter Olympics. As you may know, I spent a fair bit of time chasing snow across Western Canada, but today, I am happy to report, I can compete on my home turf!!

First up... the opening ceremonies and I got to carry the flag! Well... I am a team of one soooo....

Look at all that wonderful snow!! I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Today, I am competing in three events... I hope I do well. I'm a bit nervous...

The first event is the Springboard Snow Pile Dive. It requires a fair degree of balance and nerves of steel...

And... a one... and... a two... and....

I went straight into a back flip... gotta show the judges some mojo you know.

Followed by a 180 twirl and...

Wait for it.. a clean landing in the snow!!!

Good thing it's deep snow...

Wah-hey!!! What a dive!!!

I may never dry off again but.... that was fun!

My next event is.... the Abominable Snow Bear...

Perfect form and....

Look at those arm and leg movements... such strength and precision.

A pretty darn good Abominable Snow Bear!

Finally... the dreaded Snow Hill Climb...

This requires legs of steel, endurance and skill...

Not to mention balance...

Will I make it???

Almost there!

Yes!!! I made it!

I might as well plant a flag for Canada up here too!

Winterpeg - Land of Snow but I wouldn't Know!

And we're off!!! I am travelling to Winterpeg to compete in the Stuffie Olympics... which requires some hot chocolate to fortify the nerves... and all that stuff.

I wish we had snow here... but... we don't...

So I'll make the best of it!

We had a pit stop in Vancouver and said Hi to Daisy!

And helped with a few pet chores... poor dog!

Uh... Hi Sassy! I'll just go sit over here!

And there's Rose! Sassy sure is a patient cat! I asked Rose if she had chocolates for me but she looked confused. So I showed her Jerry & Ben's card with the note in French. She told me that it says I should give her chocolates!! Whaaaatttt????

The next morning, we were up super early to catch a 5;30 am bus... ugh...

But it's all good... I am going to Winterpeg to find some snow...

Although... here is the Snow Bus to Whistler!! Why can't we just go to Whistler??? sigh...

Then a Skytrain ride to the airport... this travelling sure takes a while.

And some waiting at the airport!

Huh... it says we are going to Calgary??? Mama says we have a 3 hour layover there... I sure hope this long trip isn't going to affect my Olympic abilities...

But there is snow down there in Calgary!!! Maybe we coulda gotten off here? Afterall... I used to live here.

Ooooh... the Glenmore Reservoir in the distance... I used to live near there and played ice hockey there...

And finally... we made it to Winterpeg. I better get a good night's sleep tonight... ready for my competitions!

(Several Days Later)

OK... that was just crazy... I slept really well and every time I woke up, Mama was already gone out of the house and I couldn't find a ride to the Olympic venues! WTH? And now...

Now we are at the airport again leaving!!! But why???? How am I going to compete in the Olympics????? (plaintive bear wail)...

Then Mama showed me this picture... it's from our backyard back home. OMG!!! My snow prayers have been answered!!

The only question is... will I make it back in time before it all melts???

Wish me luck fellow stuffies...

I think I need a hot chocolate to drown my anxiety!! What other bear traipses across the country in search of snow?? Not many, I think!

The deadline for the Olympics is tomorrow... February 25... will I make it back in time????
