Visiting Gramma

Good Morning! I am barely awake but was dragged out of a sound sleep to catch a bus and then the Skytrain... apparently we are off to the airport. Blink blink... beary tired...

But... once we got to the airport, Mama plied me with hot chocolate... which woke me up a bit.

But then I had a look around... where is everybody?? This is too early in the morning for a little bear!

So... we are heading north... and... after a lot of clouds... I saw trees and... snow!! Oooohh... snow!!! That's why I wore my winter gear!

Maybe I'll get to go hiking or skiiing?

If we can actually land of course... it sure is cloudy down there.

Oh... oh... I think we're going to make it!!!

Yay!!! We landed... except it's not snowing... it's raining. sigh...

Gramma wasn't there to meet us cause... well.. cause Gramma was in a car accident a few days ago and totaled her vehicle and bunged up her knee. She was beary beary lucky that this was the only major injury. Beary lucky. The other guy was OK too although his vehicle was toast as well. That is a nasty bruise...

I decided that I needed a hot chocolate the next morning and Mama and I walked down to a local cafe... This is main street on a Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. Seriously... where is everyone?? And where is the snow?? I need my rain gear I think...

Righto... another hot chocolate... it is OK but...

There's no one else here either!!

Am I in some zombie apocalypse movie where all the people have been taken away??

  1. That's a VERY nasty bashed up knee that Gramma has...... hope it heals quickly. She must be the only person that lives in that town though.....

    1. Gramma is doing beary well at this point. She's even gone out and bought a new car! There truly were other people around...just not on Main Street!

  2. Does seem odd that you are the only people in town. Was there at least a bearista to make the Hot Chocolate or did you just figure it out yourself?

    1. Oh, there was a bearista... but I have to say... the hot chocolate was not quite up to snuff (it wasn't Starbucks!).

  3. Give Gramma a big hug for us too! Jerry thinks that hot chocolate can cure most anything, so you could prescribe some to your Gramma.

    1. I'll pass on your hugs and tell her Little Bear hugs are 10 times as therapeutic as regular hugs!

  5. Wait a minute...we're looking closely at that hot chocolate photo...and it doesn't appear to be our favorite coffee shop hot chocolate...is your seKretary slipping a little? or were you so tired that you didn't notice? or was it from the Tim H place (that we're still upset doesn't exist here), because they have nice things too.

    2. @Jerry & Ben - Yeah, it's not Starbucks. It's a local cafe that had some nice comfy chairs. The only Starbucks in town is in Safeway and has limited seating... and the ambiance leaves much to be desired!
@Little Fox - I thought you guys had Timmies?? I mean it was bought out by Wendy's... or maybe it can't make headway against Dunkin' Donuts?
