Bathroom Reno Update - Almost There!

Hullo bears and not-a-bears!! Thought I'd post an update on the bathroom renos. Part of the bathroom is looking pretty ship-shape. The frame went up around the mirror and everybody is quite pleased with the new look.

So, the cabinet and this side of the room look pretty good...

Well, actually, this photo looks even better!! Mostly because I am in it!

And then there is the tub... today the workmen came to rip out the old and put in the new...

They work super quick!!

Of course there was some mould in behind the drywall at various places. Ewww!!

And just like that... the old drywall and tiles are gone... the tub is gone and it's a blank canvas.

Well... that side of the room. This side is looking a bit scary!!

But I can see it now. The workmen said we were lucky there wasn't any rotten plywood underneath!

That's the new tub...

And that's the new tub installed with drywall going up around it.

And then there are acrylic sheets to go up over the drywall...

It looks super cool!!! But not so great with the old floor. I will supervise our new floor install on the weekend and post the final updates then!

  1. They are so lucky to have you as a supervisor on this project. Could you imagine it if you weren't there to supervise?

Did you get any back alley deals on flooring, or tub installers, or paint? You know how I like a good back alley deal.

Anyway, I hope you get rewarded with a honey dip donut or two for your work.

    1. Thanks Little Fox. I can't imagine what would happen if I weren't there to supervise! Something important would get missed for sure.

Back alley deals... hmmmm... well... the light fixture was a thrift store find - $17 instead of $70... does that count?

Mama says since I am just a Little Bear I should only get a honey dip Timbit... and she can have the donut... I don't entirely think that is fair... do you?

  2. No, I don't think that is fair, maybe you should go on strike and see how far her project goes w/o your supervision skills?

  3. Hmm... that is a definite possibility. Except now Mama is looking awfully fierce and saying she would go on strike with typing up my blogs. I think I am in what is called a Catch 22... any advice?
