Mail!

Hullo!! I am back home and nicely showered and coiffed. Going camping with no chance for a shower means a little bear can get a little dirty! And, of course, there was mail waiting for me!!

First off, a card from Jerry & Ben from their wine-tasting trip to San Francisco. I think it should have been a chocolate tasting trip... but that's just me. It's a nice postcard with a picture of the Painted Ladies. Mama's been there and says those little houses are beary cute!

Then there is a card from Ajdin, who was in Maine a while back. He did some cool hikes. Maine looks beary nice and is probably amazing in the fall when all the trees turn colour.

And then.... ***rummage, rummage***... there is the packet from Jerry & Ben!! You can ***grunt*** tell it's from them because of the little bear drawing at the bottom of the envelope... ***rummage rummage***

Ah-hah!!! And there is a card from them as well... I think the J is for Jerry, the B is for Ben and... the S must be for me!! Sandy Bear!!! You would almost think we are the three Musketeers... Muskebears??

It is a hand-drawn card and was made by Jerry - he is quite an artist.

There were also some goodies in the packet.

A little bag of bear-sized clothespins which will come in handy as I hang my camping clothes out on the line to dry. Also a Crackerjack surprise which....

Is a sticker from the Oakland A's!! They are a baseball team...

And... a small bear-sized cookie cutter - I think I am going to have to learn how to bake! Plus... a beary cool button to stick on my bag or on my jacket.

Thanks everybody!!! That was beary cool mail!

  1. Glad you liked the little surprises Sandy! Ben can't wait to bake with his little bear cookie cutter... (Jerry wishes he'd get at it right now!).

    1. Thanks Little Fox. Everyone survived the trip without injuries... all my other clothes were in the laundry so I had to dress up in my spiffys...

I am working hard to winkle out where we are going... so far I know that we are gone for two weeks and we are booked on an Air France flight that uses KLM... and although we are stopping in Hamsterdam, it is not for long... final destination unknown! Beary confusing itinerary I must say... although Mama says it was under $700 which is ridiculous cheap...

  4. Noooo.... Mama says it is just a layover... not long enough for any meeting! That is sooooo disappointing! I don't know all that many stuffies in Europe so I had hoped to meet at least one of them. Sigh.... *** Ah-hah!!! Mama is looking shifty-eyed! Are we going to England?? Are we???? ... Yes we are!!! Persistence pays off with the humans! A trip to London... I better pack my rain coat!

    1. We agree, when will those human seKretaries learn to listen to us! You could meet Beanie, Dilly and Bob T. Bear in England. If you meet Beanie, please say that we look just like you! hehe

  5. Sandy, a trip to London, how exciting. I am assuming it's London England not London Ontario?
I have never been, it was a big step for me to go to Canada but I hear Bearingham Palace and Trafalgar Bear are cool places to visit.

  6. Oh yes, England!! Why are there places with the same names in different countries? Like Berlin? And Paris? Hmmm... Ontario has a London and a Paris!

I am going to do a post about my London (England!) preparations...

  7. I know, I know. I see that Ontarion's are not as creative with the city names and they seem to have a thing for European Cities. In Oregon, we have a Rome, Vail, Ontario, Phoenix, Oakland, and our worst choice for a city name....drumroll...Boring, Oregon. Yes, Boring, although to their credit I think it's named for a geologic event.

  8. Boring, Oregon??? I have to look that up!.... Hah-hah!!! It's sister city is Dull, Scotland!!! Oh I wonder if Beanie knows that - he likes that sort of stuff!

Although... in line with Boring & Dull... we have a Witless Bay in Nfld... and a few other weird ones...
