Bye Bye Sebastian

Well... it's official... Sebastian is going back home to Malaysia. There are a few reasons for his decisions...

He really missed his job at Starbucks. He thought he could get a job here. But when he went to the local one, they asked him if he had a Working Visa... huh?? Sebastian said he didn't even have a passport!

Uh-oh... turns out Sebastian snuck into the country illegally!! We've been watching Border Security (a TV show about Canadian Border Guards) and Sebastian's eyes got beary wide when he realized that he could end up in prison or even... deported!

Another reason Sebastian is going home is that the weather here is not to his liking at all. He doesn't like the cold rain and I think he is getting cabin fever being cooped up inside so much. Plus... we've been watching the stories from the East and all the crazy weather and Sebastian didn't realize that snow and cold could be so ugly. He thought snow would be nice and fluffy and playful... not.

And he just misses his pals down there... and all the colourful flowers and stuff.

I can't say I blame him but... it will be a bit quieter around here.

  1. Oh! We're sorry to see Sebastian go, but when one is homesick, it's good to go home to see family and friends. Perhaps, once he get's a passport, he can come back for a visit! Maybe you both could come and visit us! We would have so much fun!

    1. That is true... being homesick is no fun! He might be able to get a passport but I think he plans on traveling to Antarctica next where he can sit on a cozy cruise ship and see the snow and ice and penguins from a distance!

  3. Wow, I had no idea Sebastian was an ill eagle, I thought he was a bear!
I bet he will miss your company as much as you will miss his.

The snow is beautiful, it's the terrible cold that seems to come after it.
Buttons and I are just trying to stay warm.

  4. That is too bad that Sebastian has to go home......I kept hoping he would see snow and pick up a job at the local Starbucks. Interesting about the Canadian border TV show, we don't have anything like that in the USA, sounds like a beary scary show for a bear w/o a passport. Is Sebastian flying first class back to Malaysia? Will he start back up at Starbucks or will he take a little more time off to enjoy the flowers? Perhaps he can come back next winter to see some snow. Safe travels Sebastian.

  5. Aww, I am sad to hear that Sebastian will be leaving. :( But as a fellow international bear, I know that the feeling of being homesick can be overwhelming. I still get homesick sometimes even though I am having a ton of fun new adventures in the USA. I just hope that Sebastian will be able to come back and visit you? Keep in touch with Sebastian! True friendship never ends no matter how far away you might be. :)
