A surprise!!

Well, after a long sleep (and some more sleep) Sebastian and I got up this morning. I was going to show Sebastian the garden in our back yard but... Mother Nature had a better idea... Snow!!

Mama... PUHLEESE can we go outside and play in the snow!! Sebastian thought it looked all nice and fluffy and would be like cotton...

So after a quick wardrobe addition... we headed out...

It's quite deep! For a little bear of course... Sebastian's comment was "ooooohhhhhh.... snooooowwww!!!"

His second comment.... "It's cold and wet!!!"

Well yes, it looks pretty but... not as light and fluffy as it looks!

Sebastian wanted a picture taken with some real fir branches to Facebook down to his work in Malaysia... and that was it for our adventure outside! Sebastian doesn't have any boots you see... have to work on that!

But Mama went out and about to take some pictures while Sebastian and I warmed up in front of the fireplace...

These are some tree decorations in our front yard...

They were super cute with the snow... looks like they are wearing little hats!

Mama even went for a slushy walk and found an interesting fern frond that only had snow on one side...

The forest looks oh so beautiful in the snow!

I thought we should have got to come along but... little bears don't do well in slush!

The problem was it was just cold enough for it to snow but not cold enough for it to really stick around for all that long.

But Sebastian still liked looking at the photographs. I hope we get more snow later so that he can be better prepared for it!!

  1. Beautiful snow photos Sandy! Make sure that Sebastian wears boots and gloves...a sick visitor on Christmas would not be good! It's BEARY cold here (-30 wind chill), and that is too cold even for little bears who have fur and green and red jackets!

    3. Well, there's a couple of envelopes here from you guys and one is a tad thicker than the other. Mama says I have to wait until tomorrow to open...!

    4. Oh gosh, ok. Jerry says he would have never waited, he would have ripped right into the envelope! You sure have one strict sekretary Sandy! Ben says that sometimes waiting is good though; Jerry isn't quite convinced. In any case, Happy Christmas!

  2. What a nice surprise for Sebastian's first adventure in Canada. Boots seem like a good idea for a little bear from Malasia living in Canada.
