Submarine Bear

Today Sandy walked along the beach to the south... it was beary nice...
but getting quite rocky!
There were some breakwaters along the coast to prevent the sand from being washed away.
And the waves were having fun chewing on the breakwaters and making bigs waves.
Some beary big waves!
Sandy thinks that this isn't a very good spot to swim!!
There we go... back to the peaceful calm of our little stretch of beach. After watching Mama snorkeling back and forth, Sandy decides that he might just be brave enough to have a peek beneath the waves as well. Which means some logistical issues... but... after a bit of thought and some improvisation...
We have a diving suit for Sandy! The trick is... he has to hold his breath in there... but he is beary good at that!
First Sandy just floats on the water looking down and waving at Mama who is trying to take a picture...
Then there is an actual submersion... so far so good!
This is some of what Sandy can see under the water - this is part of the coral reef...
And this is a big sea turtle!! They are beary friendly and don't mind little bears or humans bobbing around.
This is a stingray... they are shy but beary dangerous! They could puncture Sandy's diving suit just like that, so we better cut a wide corner around them!
Oh and these are little fishies that hang around looking for handouts... they are friendly too... And that's enough diving for a little bear!!

  6. @Buttons - It was an improvised scubabear suit - but it worked beary well! Mama says I shouldn't get used to it though as those sorts of scubabear outfits are notoriously prone to failure after one or two uses!
